It's been about a month since me and Lizzie got engaged and we still haven't told anyone. We wanted to have this nice thing just for us for a while. And through the month we've been thinking of ways to tell everyone that we are engaged.
We decided we wanted to get our families on a phone call and tell them.Not the best way to announce it but it'll work.
So we got my whole family,my mom and dad, 2 sisters and brother on a zoom call. We waited for them to all join to start.
"Hi everyone" Me and Lizzie said to my family and waving to the camera
"Hey baby hi Lizzie"my mom said blowing us a kiss
"Hey y/n/n hey Lizzie" my dad said waving back
"Hey Big sis Hiii Liz" my bother Anwar said waving and smiling
"Hey Y/n Hey Liz " Alana said smiling
"HEYYYYY GURLLLLSSS" my sisters Bella and Gigi said Which made us all Laugh.
"So how's it going y/n"My mom asked
"Uh, well it's going good, how about you guys?" I asked
"We doing alright, what's going what do you need to tell us?" She asked fixing her hair
"Yea y/n what's the big news? Are your prego?" Bella asked making me Lizzie smile taking a sip of whatever she is drinking
"Haha um no I'm not pregnant-" I said laughing
"Well then what is it?" Gigi asked
"Well about a month ago me and Lizzie, got engaged I-" I was cut off by screaming and cheering
"OH MY GOD MY BIG SISTER IS ENGAGED AHHH" Gigi Screamed clapping her hands
"OH MY- y/n THATS AMAZING" My mom said crying tears of joy and wiping her tears
"My y/n is all Grown up" my dad said also wiping tears of joy away
"Congratulations baby sis" Alana said wile smiling so wide and clapping her hands
"HOLY SHIT Y/N CONGRATULATIONS" Bella said cheering
"YES CONGRATULATIONS Y/N/N" my brother said smiling
I myself stated crying knowing my family was happy for me. If I'm being honest I didn't think they'd be this excited and happy for me. I didn't know if they'd be ok with me marrying a girl, I mean yes they were ok with me being ____( whatever your sexuality is) and dating Lizzie but I didn't think they'd be ok with marrying her.But seeing them this happy for me really makes me feel special in some way.
