the apocalypse is over

-Diane's POV-

"Get out of there! Hendrickson and Dreyfus already looks after us! We need to go now! The serum have already been made and it's enough for the whole world!" I said. Meliodas gave a small nod and got out of bed with Elizabeth.

"They are coming." Gowther stated. Elizabeth helped Meliodas run towards us. Was he injured?

Without hesitation, Ban threw Meliodas over his shoulder and we all started sprinting towards the empty hallway.

"What happened to you?" Escanor asked as we turned a corner.

"They drained Meliodas of blood to the serum." I said as we was nearly out. Then Ban said "Let's talk about this later! We are nearly out!"

Everyone agreed as we ran outside. We stopped as I asked "Now then?"

"Ehh, we didn't think about this." Ban said. A nearly noticable chuckle was heard as Meliodas whispered "You're stupid, aren't sha?"

"Well, what do you suggest we do?" Elaine asked. We all looked around. Guards was coming from every corner towards us.

"Try to get as high as possible, they have always a helicopter hanging around, that's how I fled the first time. If we go there, then we win." Meliodas said. He sounded tired.

"That's the highest point!" Zeldoris said and pointed at the corner of the wall, a helicopter was there, just like Meliodas said.

The only problem was... the guards have already surrounded us. It's no way out...

"Hey! Come up!" We heard a female voice as a rope ladder was sent down. We all looked up to see Merlin in her own helicopter.

We loomed at each other a second before King said "Well?! Get up! We are about to become prisoners stupid!"

With that, Elaine was first to climb up. Then it was Escanor, Gowther, Gelda, Zeldoris, me, Diane and King, leaving only Ban and Meliodas left.

"He's passed out!" Ban yelled.

"Climb up as much as we can! We are going now!" Merlin yelled. Ban nodded and climbed some steps, Meliodas in one of his arms. The ladder lifted from the ground in last second and went high up in the air.

"Help me with Meliodas!" Ban said.

"Okay, we pull up the ladder together." Diane said, everyone nodding.

"3... 2... 1... pull!" Diane said as we all pulled. Then again and again and again. After some pulls, Meliodas was thrown up on the helicopter as Ban climbed up the rest of the way.

That's when we flew over the wall and everyone relaxed.

"You came in last second." Gelda said, everyone else nodding.

"Well, yes. Did you really think I would leave Meliodas if he was alive?" Merlin asked, making all our happiness sink.

"It was just for Meliodas?" King asked as Merlin nodded. Then she asked "So what happened to him? He seems pretty pale."

"They drained him of blood to the medicine for the zombies." Gowther answered while I nodded.

"I made sure he got some water at least. He still needs a real treatment, but his body will take up some of the water and the shock of them giving it made him wake up." I said.

"So... how do we treat him?" Diane asked.

"It would be easier if we was at the hospital. We need a blood transplant. However, because the treatment he had when he was a child, anyone's blood with the same blood type won't work. Zeldoris, your blood may work, but it's just a guess." I said.

He nodded and said "How will we do it?"

"If we get to some kind of hospital, you could just leave it too me." I said. Then Merlin said "Then we are going to the hospital now."

"Wait, now when we have Meliodas... how will they make the serum?" King asked.

"It's already made and in the air. Don't you feel that smell in the air?" Merlin asked. We all sniffed a bit, like she said, it was some kind of smell.

"It's like... a combination of blood and some kind of alcohol." Diane said. Merlin nodded and said "That's how the medicine smells."

"Look!" Escanor said, making us all look out. All the zombies was turning normal. Their eye colours turned blue, brown, yellow, whatever they had for eye colour. Their skins also turned darker to their former colour.

"It's working!" Gelda said happily.

"Now it's only to take Meliodas to the hospital in time." I said while everyone cheered for the zombie apocalypse to be over.

"We will arrive in about a hour or two." Merlin said, making me nod.

"Give me that." I said, pointing at things. Everyone gave me the things I pointed to. At the moment, I was just done with taking some of Zeldoris blood.

Everyone was worried about Meliodas who had just become a bit paler.

"I need those things too." I said. They nodded and got me the things. Then I started put the needle in Meliodas. Zeldoris blood was in a blood bag with a tube going to the needle.

Now it was just to wait. The sounds of the machines was slow. His pulse was low.

Then it become a bit faster, making me say "It's working! Your blood works Zeldoris!"

We all cheered. We sat there some hours until Meliodas finally woke up. That's when I tackled him in a hug.

"Meliodas! I'm so happy!" I yelled. He slowly hugged back as everyone crowded us.

"We're glad you made it, bud." Ban said as Zeldoris said "B-Brother?"

That made Meliodas let go and look at Zeldoris.

"Brother?"

"W-we are brothers, twins." He answered. Meliodas just looked confused as he said "I don't have any family."

"T-tha-"

"You two are brothers! Now hug!" Diane demanded as she pushed the two together, forcing them to hug.

"Wait, we are?" Meliodas asked. Everyone nodded as Escanor said "Dreyfus and Hendrickson said it."

"You guys knew the whole time and didn't tell me?!" Meliodas asked, nearly yelled. We all nodded.

"This whole time, Zeldoris have been my brother and you seriously didn't tell me?!" He yelled. I just hugged him to calm him down.

"It's okay, now we can finally live without anything to fear." I said. He hugged back and said "If you want to."
