On our way

-Meliodas POV-

I sat down a bit away from everyone else while they had fallen asleep. It was boring just sitting and looking around. I was getting tired too, but I wouldn't sleep. I couldn't.

The night was boring, but when I saw the sun rise, I woke up everyone. No one spoke, so I did first.

"Eat and drink, we won't eat before we have stopped at the next place again." I said. Everyone nodded and did as told, still in silence. When everyone was done, we continued walking. I looked at Elizabeth and she still looked tired. Ban and Gowther didn't look as tired.

"I take your bag." I said to her. She looked at me.

"What?" She asked.

"I will take your bag until you have woken up fully." I said. She smiled at me and slowly gave me it. I took off my bag I had half way and put on the other there. One backpack on each shoulder.

We walked like that in a hour.

"Meliodas, I can take back mg backpack." Elizabeth said.

"I can carry it more, don't worry." I said.

"It's okay, I can carry it now." She said.

"Nah, I am already doing it." I said.

"O-okay." She said. I smiled a bit to myself.

-Merlin's POV-

This is perfect, I have three bites, means at least three zombies. It would take some days to come there from here. We take 3 pauses a day, I don't want them to think it is something wrong if they don't get any pauses. I don't drive at all on the nights. I sleep then. I need to be ready when I got my zombies.

Get a medication for the zombies? Hah! How could they be so dumb. Why would I want that? It was even the state that made the virus, with help from me of course.

-Escanor's POV-

Diane and King was sleeping. They was leaning on each other and hugging each other in their sleep. It will be fun to see them wake up soon.

Then the truck shook a little and they woke up. They looked at each other and their faces turned red. Then they back away from each other.

I chuckled a bit.

"Morning." I said.

"What time is it?" Diane asked.

"Around 1 pm." I said.

"Already?!" King asked. I nodded.

"I actually miss Meliodas, Ban, Gowther and Elizabeth." Diane said.

"Diane, Meliodas is a criminal. He want the zombies to continue live. Think how many lives that will be in danger." King said.

"You are right, but he was pretty nice." Diane said.

"How did you meet him and Ban?" I asked.

"Ban saved my life." King said.

"With caring me as a baby." King continued a bit more annoying.

"Meliodas saved me when I was in a mini shock." Diane said. I nodded.

"What I have heard, they sounds pretty nice." I said.

"Meliodas even saved us all, nearly getting cough when we fled from the house." I said.

"I wanted to know Elizabeth a bit more, she seemed nice." Diane said. King and I nodded.

"What happened with Meliodas? When he left while I sat in the front?" I asked.

"I woke up and he was looking angry at Merlin. He said he would stop her no matter what." King answered.

"He doesn't trust her." Diane said.

-Meliodas POV-

It started to be night. We sat down and I looked around. No trees or anything to make a fire with. I set down my backpack together with Elizabeth's. Then Elizabeth walked up to me and sat down beside me.

We all started eating some food and drank some water. We talked a bit too.

"I will stay up tonight." Ban said.

"You sure?" I asked. He nodded.

"Yes, you have already done it one night. Now it's our turn. Besides, your wound need to heal, you should rest and take it easy." Ban said.

"I'm fineee." I said.

"No Meliodas, you are not. You should be in a hospital bed the whole day and rest, not walking around with backpacks that is heavier then a child. You even walk with two!" Elizabeth said.

"It is quite dangerous." Gowther said.

"Yeah, yeah. We should go to sleep now." I said.

"Yeah. Night." Ban said.

"Good night." Gowther said.

"Good night everyone." Elizabeth said.

"Night." I said and we all, except Ban, got to sleep. After 15 minutes of not being able to sleep, I turned around and looked at the stars.

"Not able to sleep?" Ban asked.

"No." I said.

"How's your side?" Ban asked.

"Hurts like hell." I said. Ban laughed a bit.

"And still, you are saying it's fine." Ban said.

"It's fine! I can mange. Just because it hurts, it doesn't mean I aren't fine!" I said.

"How do it look?" Ban asked. I took off my sweater and showed him.

"Wow, you have a six pack!" Ban said.

"And so have you, you was going to look at the wound, not my six pack." I said.

"It looks infected. You should treat that at a hospital." Ban said.

"And I should also leave you guys. It safer to be alone this times, still, I am here, with you." I said.

"True, but together, things can be easier." Ban said.

"Together, things can be more dangerous. The zombies find us easier in big groups." I said.

"Is that why you left the others?" Ban asked.

"No, Merlin talks in her sleep." I said. Ban started laughing.

"That's why you left like that?" Ban asked.

"No, I asked her some serious questions and she answered. I didn't like the answer." I said.

"That's it?" Ban asked.

"That's it." I said.

"Well, to me, you seems like a good buddy, I mean, you warned us all, it was just some that didn't take your warnings. Now you are helping us too." Ban said.

"Thanks, you seems like a good guy too." I said.
