"Why the hell are you still sitting here? Go after him," Renjun shook the younger to get him to go after Jeno.

Jaemin, now realizing what the older was referring to, stood up and made his way towards the door, looking back at Renjun for approval. The said boy nodded his head and Jaemin went after Jeno who had already left the orphanage two minutes ago.

Catching up with the blonde male by the gates, Jaemin grabbed a hold of Jeno's bicep, which scared the younger by how muscular it was since he wasn't expecting it. He turned the male around to face him and froze, completely confused as to why he chased after him in the first place.

Jeno flashed his famous eye smile, "Are you okay?"

Jaemin only shook his head and the other male spoke again, boldly.

"Are you free tomorrow?"

Jaemin didn't know why but he started blushing at the other's sudden question.

"I-I usually visit the orphanage on the weekends," Jaemin cursed at himself for stuttering, but he didn't know that Jeno thought it was the cutest thing.

"I see. I'll join you, if you don't mind of course," Jeno suggested. He wanted to be with the younger for as long as he could, afraid of him disappearing again.

"Uh, sure. That would be nice," Jaemin agreed and the older held the locket around the younger's neck in the palm of his hand.

"What are you doing?" Jaemin asked fearfully.

Why was he afraid of this man?

Jeno locked his eyes with Jaemin intensely for a few moments, before cracking a smile again and backing up.

"It's just so beautiful. Where did you get it?"

Why does he feel like he knows the man?

'He seems so familiar, but why can't I depict him from anywhere?'

Blushing from the eye contact, Jaemin slightly shrugged and tilted his head as he stared into the sky, trying to think.

"I'm not sure. I don't remember," Jaemin simply answered and Jeno frowned, the younger realizing.

"You don't remember?" Jeno asked disappointedly.

Why does this man make him feel like he needs his approval?

'Why am I disappointed in myself?'

Jaemin shook his head gently and apologized.

'Why am I apologizing?'

"That's okay, Nana. Forget about it for now," Jeno smiled again and Jaemin blinked his eyes in confusion because of the nickname.

'I've heard it before.'

"Nana?"

"Yeah. Why you don't remember that either?" Jeno asked with a bit of sadness in his tone. Jaemin shook his head once again.

"Forget I said anything. I was messing around," Jeno forced out a small chuckle, making the younger giggle shyly.

'Maybe this will be harder than I thought,' Jeno said in the back of his mind.

Jeno suddenly pushed back a strand of the younger's hair out of his face, Jaemin leaning into his hand.

'Why do I feel so comfortable around him?'

"You'll remember soon enough, I promise," Jeno whispered to himself while staring lovingly into the younger's eyes, making Jaemin blush beet red while looking away.

"I have to get going now. Text me when you're leaving your house and I'll meet you here," Jeno instructed.

Jeno turned around to leave, but stopped in his tracks to look back at the younger one more time.

"Don't be afraid of me please. I promise I won't hurt you like the others," Jeno said with sincerity and Jaemin couldn't find any hints of lying.

'Others?'

With that Jaemin was standing in the yard as Jeno locked the orphanage gate and left.

Jaemin doesn't know how to feel. Was he afraid of the older? But why did he feel comfortable around him at the same time?

Could it be that he's only afraid of the older because of what he knows? What if he's too afraid to find out the 'truth'? Is there even any truth behind anything in life?

As soon as Jeno saw the younger at the orphanage, he couldn't help but feel happy. Happy that the younger was okay and healthy.

Could it be him? It has to be, but why can't he remember anything? Jeno's heart ached for the younger.

Seeing the locket around the younger's neck surprised him at first, but hid it. He didn't want the younger to be suspicious, but he surely wasn't doing the best job at it since the younger kept questioning his choice of words.

'Damnit Jeno don't blow your cover.'

But he also needs to get on with it. He knows it won't be an easy task in getting the younger to remember everything, but he needs to try,

before it's too late for the both of them...
