Jaemin was currently at his intership, which by the way, will hire him as a full time employee as soon as he graduates college.
He had just finished his work, taking care of the situation that has to do with a family going through a divorce, trying to take custody of the children.
Jaemin will be meeting with the family again next week to finish his evaluation and decide on whether or not which parent would be safer for the children to stay with.
Jaemin concluded signing his file papers and put them away in his folder and into the desk. He pushes his chair in and reaches for his jacket on the coat rack.
"Good work today, Jaemin. Let's wrap up this case next week," Jaemin's boss praised and the younger male bowed in gratitude.
"Thank you, sir. Will do!" Jaemin said and headed towards the building's main doors, only to be met with a familiar figure walking into the building as he was trying to go out.
Jaemin froze for a moment.
'Since when did he work here?'
"Jaemin! Hi!" Jeno greeted as he fully walked through the door, his eye smile appearing.
"Uh, hi?" Jaemin repsonded, the unsureness evident in his tone.
"I didn't know you worked here," Jeno said, which was a complete lie.
Of course the older male new that the younger worked here. He's known for a quite a few months and has never brought it up.
"I can say the same thing to you," Jaemin spoke in confusion and Jeno only giggled at the younger's reaction.
"I work full time. I graduated college last year and since I've been interning here, they hired me fully," Jeno explained.
"I'm in the same position you were in. I'm graduating on Friday and they offered me the job," Jaemin honestly said.
"I see, congratulations then!" Jeno congratulated him and walked over to his desk while smirking, already knowing the younger will follow him.
And Jaemin did so. He followed the older to his desk as the older sat down to finish up his paperwork.
Jaemin read the name tag on his desk which read Mr. Lee.
"Wait are you the only Lee here?" Jaemin suddenly asked, bringing Jeno away from his work.
Jeno smiled and shook his head.
"We have a Lee Donghyuck here as well, but he mainly focuses on the book keeping department, why?"
"I was just wondering. I've covered for a Mr. Lee before several months ago," Jaemin exclaimed.
Why does he remember that? He doesn't know either.
"That was me. I had some...well. Let's just say I had something important to take care of that day," Jeno spoke and Jaemin couldn't help but feel skeptical.
Jeno finished signing his paperwork and pushed in his office chair, meeting his eyes with Jaemin's, causing the younger to blush immensely and look away.
"W-would you like to come to my graduation on Friday?" Jaemin stuttered out of nervousness and Jeno couldn't help but coo.
"If that's what you want," Jeno answered simply and Jaemin furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head.
"What? No I don't..." Jaemin clearly lied and Jeno on chuckled and started walking towards the doors, leaving a Jaemin trailing behind.
"Okay," Jeno shrugged and Jaemin panicked not because anything bad was happening, but because he's afraid of blurting things out.
It's going to happen anyway.
"No, I-I want you there! You're coming and that's final!" Jaemin grabbed onto the fabric of Jeno's shirt on his back.
Jeno paused, the smirk widening on his face, but removed it once he turned around to face the younger.
"Oh am I? I don't think I want go though," Jeno joked, but Jaemin didn't understand that as tears were brimming in his eyes.
Jeno quickly pushed away his teasings and immediately became worried.
"P-please come. I-I don't have anyone...Hell I don't even know where my parents are or who they even are," tears were spilling from the younger's eyes as he continued while Jeno listened to each and every word spoken.
"I-I'll do anything, really! I can do your work! O-or if you want me to do something else I can do that too!" Jaemin rambled, unable to control his trembling.
"You name it, I'll do it, but please. P-please come..." Jaemin begged, holding his clasped hands in front of his chest, knees wobbly.
This certainly wasn't what Jeno was expecting from the younger.
Right now, Jaemin looked so vulnerable and broken and no would suspect that he was because of how well he hides it.
And in a way, Jeno is thankful that Jaemin is finally starting to break down his walls with him.
In a flash, Jeno pulled the smaller into a tight hug, caressing the boy's back with one hand while the other was buried in his hair.
"Don't cry. You don't deserve to feel this way. I'll come see you, I promise. But please, don't cry, Nana. It hurts seeing you so sad and upset like this," Jeno whispered into the younger's ear, before kissing the boy's hair.
At times like this was when both boys were thankful everybody left the workplace early besides their boss who was in his office, even though that was the least of their worries at the moment.
