"No. Piss off" as she moved to walk away, he zipped in front of her
"Please!!"
"I said no," she walked off, leaving Korosensei behind. He sighed in defeat before speeding off in the sky.
Emiko looked up, watching as the yellow being flew off; her face contorting to a frown as she felt an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.
Following her uneasiness, she whipped her phone from her pocket and was quick to press a name, bringing the device to her ear. When the dial line instantly went to voicemail, Emiko clutched the phone so tight her hand was beginning to whiten.
'Where is he...?' she thought, the anticipation beginning to eat away at her, 'he always picks up..'
Just as she feared the worst, her phone began to vibrate, the familiar ringtone playing. She was almost instant with her reaction as she pressed the phone to her ear again.
"Hel—"
"That was quick"
She felt her anxious expression fade away as a monotone look replaced it.
"Oh.." she fought to not sigh, "it's you"
"That's a bit mean Emiko" Even though they couldn't see each other, she could imagine his smug smirk.
"Don't say that name so casually" she warned
"I'm home alone, no one's going to hear me"
"Watch your tongue Akabane"
"Alright alright, I'll be careful when I say your name..." he paused, "Emiko"
"..." She was genuinely too tired to even bother arguing with the redhead, she just sighed him off. "What do you want?"
"That's a bit harsh you know, I just wanted to ask if you were going to the festival"
"The one the octopus was talking about?"
"That's the one. I'm going, and so are the others"
"Others?"
"You know, Nagisa, Kaede, the rest?"
"Who?"
"All of 3E"
"Ah"
"You don't know their names, even at this stage?"
"Names are irrelevant to me"
"You remember mine"
"Don't push your luck strawberry"
"Okay okay, sorry, my bad"
"Hm"
"So, are you coming?"
Emiko paused, before answering a moment later,".. I'll be late"
"Alright, I'll see you later then"
"Mm" And within a moment, she had hung up. Slipping the phone into her pocket, the same uneasy feeling from before returned. She sighed, pushing the nagging thought to the back of her mind.
"It seems I've made it in time for the fireworks"
While waiting for the bright works in anticipation, everyone jumped and all heads snapped in her direction as she spoke.
