"You're late"

"Sorry, I forgot my keys" He sheepishly apologised. Then he blinked at her, after staring for a moment, "Are you going to be comfortable in that?"

"Yes?" she asked, in mild confusion, what was wrong with her outfit?

 "Let's go?"

Emiko clicked her tongue at his 'reason', she knew damn well he just left late. 'Him and his poor time management...'

As they made their way to the nearest train station, she asked, "Where to?"

"I have a list of things to do today" She looked at him expectantly. "First, we're going to see a movie, then a bookstore"

She gave him a puzzled expression at the second one

"I need to pick something up" he responded with an embarrassed smile

"Ah"

"Yeah and then I was thinking of the zoo, and something else at the end"

"The zoo?"

"Yup. I figured you'd never been, because of your job and everything"

"Oh I see.." she mumbled, he stared for a moment

"Do you not want to go?" he asked, pausing for a moment before adding, "We don't have to if you don't want to"

"No it's fine" he gave a puzzled look, "We can go" Her answer made him visibly light up

"You didn't seem that, happy, about it"

"It's been a long time since I last went, is all"

"Oh okay"

She cleared her throat, as their train gradually approached. "You seem to have this thought out. It won't be a bore, will it?"

"That's not my deduction to make" he hummed as they boarded, "It's yours"

"Hm"

Throughout the day, although Emiko wouldn't admit it, she did enjoy herself- especially at the zoo. The last time she'd been was as a child, when her parents were still with her...

While it saddened her at the thought of them, Karma noticed her change in mood whenever she was left in her thoughts as they walked around the animal exhibits, so while he didn't ask what was upsetting her, he made sure that she wasn't left to her mind, he spoke- a lot, and she had no option but to answer him.

They had spent at least four hours walking through the exhibits, after so long, a sign caught Karma's eye as Emiko looked at over the rail and at the hyenas. He smiled as he grabbed her hand, pulling her in that direction
