I stared at the hundreds of tiny light bulbs that lined my ceiling. I touched the delicately placed lights beside my bed and ran my fingers along the wall. I wondered what it woulf be like if he were here with me. In the summer when he'd come over we would look at the stars together. This was the next best thing on a snowy night like this. I shut every ice coated window pane and closed the miniblinds. I just wish he was here. I laid in bed and wondered if he thought the same thing. I hated how he was away at college. It made nights like this, without him, unbearable. I cried a little. I told myself I could get through the next few months without seeing him but some nights it was too hard. I started falling asleep. I heard a knock on my window. And I jumped up. I went to the window and opened the blinds. Robbie was standing there shivering.

"Oh my God!" I yelled. I opened the window and helped him in. I hugged him as tight as I possibly could. I didn't care that his jacket was covered in show or that the window was open. He was here in flesh and blood. I couldn't be happier. I pulled back and kissed his stupid face. His stupid cheeks, stupid forehead, stupid nose, stupid lips.. God I'd missed him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. He turned around and shut the window.

"Classes were cancelled because of the weather." He said grabbing my face. He kissed my lips hard but soft and loving at the same time.

"That means you should stay inside." I said cocking my eyebrow and giggling.

"I'm starting to think you don't want me here." He winked.

"I want nothing more." I said kissing him again. He crawled into bed and scooted over leaving me room. He opened up his arms to welcome me and I rested my head on his chest. He kissed my forehead.

He leaned down and whispered, "These lights aren't quite as great as the stars but they'll do." I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. The little things reminded him of me too.
