I was sitting in a chair but I wasn't tied to it.

My hands were bound with mildly rusted handcuffs. My legs tied together with rope.

There were only two other people in the room. One held a clipboard and the other held a baseball bat. No doubt there's guards outside.

The doors are shut but I can tell I'm pretty far away from the children's ward.

My eyes searched for an escape plan.

The man with the baseball bat grabbed my jaw and forced me to look at him.

"You're going to answer the questions we ask you." He stated.

"And what if I don't." I spat and glared, already knowing the answer. I wanted to show I was rebellious and resistant. That was their fair warning.

He picked up on this and laughed.

"There's no way you're getting out of this, princess."

I scowled. Do I just look like a princess to everyone?

The man with the clipboard's eyes scanned the paper as he spoke.

"We are aware you were a part of the disappearing act down south."

I kept silent.

"As your capture was oddly simple, we have come to the conclusion that the group sent you here."

Silence.

"Why have they sent you?"

Silence.

The clipboard guy nodded and the baseball guy moved towards me.

"You sure you don't wanna cooperate, princess?" He threatened.

Silent. Stay silent. They can't do shit to you.

Yes they can. Tell them you weren't sent here.

No. Don't be a wimp.

Do you even fucking see that baseball bat?! He'll beat the shit out of you!

He can't force you to talk.

My stubbornness won over.

I stayed silent.

The bat swung and I felt a shattering pain in my knee.

I held by breath to keep myself from yelling. My face twisted into one of pain.

"Wanna talk now?" Baseball bat guy asked smugly.

I stayed silent.

"Tough girl, eh, princess?"

"What message does your group send you with?" Clipboard guy asked, more forcefully.

Silent. Silence is the best option.

A fist connects with my cheek, sending me to the concrete floor.

The pain from the punch was nothing compared to the throbbing in my head from the impact of the ground.

I gritted my teeth and looked up at the two.

Baseball bat guy kicked my ribs, knocking the breath out of me and put his foot on my leg.

"Should I step on it, princess? Or are we more flexible now?"

I spat at him.

He stomped on my leg and I heard a sickening snap.

I screamed and writhed in pain and tears stung my eyes.

"Fuck!"

"Talk now."

"What message does your group send you with?!"

I was breathing shakily. I definitely had broken ribs and a broken leg.

"Last time, what message does your group send you with?"

Baseball bat guy pulled out a gun.

I looked up and glared at them. I tried talked through the searing pain.

"The message... is... to... go fuck yourselves."

An explosion thundered throughout the facility.
