The government took over completely but was quickly overrun by robots that they had created to enforce the newly created laws. As the robots continued to make more of themselves and become powerful, kids were mainly targeted as they were seen as bad...

The sky used to be the normal color; a bright blue with different sizes of clouds and sometimes no clouds. The birds were always tweeting at any time of day and were taken over by owls and crickets during the evening. People roamed around the streets without a care in the world and schools were normal.
Now, the streets are filled with nobody except robots that roam the streets for people who are "disobeying" the laws. There was barely any noise as if a single bird was heard tweeting, they would be shot with lasers along with any other animal that made noise. The air wasn't glorious anymore as it was filled with a thick layer of smog covering the once blue sky due to the continuous making of robots.

It was the same thing every day and every day seemed to only be getting longer. Every day he wakes up, eats some food, and then goes out to rescue some kids from either the streets or inside a massive building that was filled with built robots and building robots, there was no in-between. It was dangerous nonetheless, but it was the only way to keep the kids from being used in ways that are inhuman.
This morning, it was peaceful, there wasn't any stomping from the robots. The only thing he heard was the soft hits of the rain that was outside. The teenager was shocked as he slowly woke up. He sat up and rubbed his face, happy about the weather as it gave him more opportunities to get kids out of their homes and the streets.
"Felix, are you awake?"
The called male looked over to the door that opened to show the female who was taking care of him. "Yeah," he said as he yawned, "just woke up." The female smiles and nods her head. "I made some food before you go out again," she said and Felix nodded his head. She closed the door and Felix slowly got out of bed. He grabbed a pair of dark green cargo pants, a cropped long sleeve shirt that fit, and a pair of black socks. He grabbed the brush that was on his nightstand and quickly brushed his hair before pulling it back in a small ponytail so it wouldn't get in his face.
He left the room and walked through the short hallway to the kitchen where the female was. "The kids that you saved are okay before you start bombarding me with questions," she said and Felix quickly closed his mouth which made the female chuckle. "I'm going out with the other girls to get some supplies," she said and Felix gave a nod. She motioned towards the food she made and smiled. "Eat up before heading out," she said and Felix grabbed the plate. "Cover your face as well, I think they increased their coal burning," she finalized before leaving the kitchen.
Felix sat down at the rundown table they had and ate that food that always tasted good. He smiles as he closes his eyes, chewing the food and swallowing it. He finished it quickly and didn't realize it until he looked at his plate. He frowns but got up from the table and sets it in the sink. He walked over to where they kept their shoes and slipped them on, grabbed the black scarf, and putting it on as well.
