Most of the day, Felix spent sleeping or attempted to. It was impossible to sleep after countless hours of waking up in the middle of the night when he was doing missions by the sound of robots walking around.
Eventually, around lunch, he gave up on getting less sleep-deprived and decided to make himself lunch. As he left his room, he noticed how quiet it was in the house. He remembered Jeongin mentioning training so he assumed Changbin was doing that instead of being stuck in the house like Felix was doing. He shook the disapproving thought out of his head as he got to the kitchen and stood at the entrance for a bit as he thought of what to make.
He looked through the fridge and the small pantry and decided to make something quick since he still felt pain and it hurt to stand because of his ankle. He grabbed ingredients for the food and was about to grab something to cook it in when someone knocked on the door. Felix rubbed his face as he already knew it was Jeongin, so he walked over and opened the door to show Jeongin holding Chan's hand. "Are you doing anything?" Jeongin asks and Felix shook his head. "I was going to make food," Felix said as he stepped aside to let the two inside, which they do.
"Really? What're you making?" Jeongin asks as he slipped off his shoes. "Tteokbokki," Felix answered as he walked back to the kitchen. "Innie, I need to head out," Chan said and Jeongin spun around to give the male a pout. "Tomorrow," Chan said and kissed the top of his head as an apology. Jeongin nodded his head and watched as the male exit the house, closing the door behind him. Jeongin sighed and walked over to where Felix was who was getting 2 cups of water into a measuring cup. "Weird question," Jeongin said, which barely caught Felix's attention who just responded with a hum as he poured the water into the pot he was using. Jeongin hopped onto the counter despite the number of times Changbin threatened to hit if he did that. "Have you ever dated someone?"
Felix paused as he opened the bottle he was using. "Um...no," He answers as he puts the ingredients into the pot and puts them into the fridge. Jeongin's mouth dropped at his answer. "What? You've never dated someone?" Jeongin asked and Felix nodded as he added the others quickly. He puts the stove at a high temperature before putting a lid on top. "Why is that shocking?" Felix asks as he grabs a glass of water for him and Jeongin. "I thought you were dating someone in high school," Jeongin said and watched as Felix filled the cups with water.
Felix's eyebrows furrow at the answer Jeongin gave. He gave the glass to Jeongin and looked for something to stir the mixture with. "A lot of people thought that," Felix mumbles as he took a sip of his water; taking off the lid to mix the ingredients together. As he mixed the two, Jeongin started ranting about how he thought Felix had a boyfriend. "Well, back in high school before the world basically ended, you were really nice and you offered to help anyone, even outcasts like me and Chan hyung," Jeongin said and Felix listened carefully. "I also knew a few outcasts who liked you, but that's beside the point! You're really smart and obviously independent and probably a good cook. If I wasn't dating Chan, I would've probably dated you."
Jeongin watched with a smile when he got a soft laugh from Felix. "Thanks," Felix said as he went over to the fridge and took out one of three bags of rice cakes. He grabbed a pair of scissors and opened the bag. "Oh, um thanks for taking Michi and Ryu," Felix said as he glanced back at Jeongin who gave a smile. "You're welcome! I can do it every day if you'd like, I don't do much so it gives me something," Jeongin said and Felix gave a nod and a smile. "Yeah."
The rest of the time was quiet from Felix as Jeongin continued to talk about a random topic and got some verbal responses from Felix, but most of them were nods and shrugs. Jeongin was about to start talking about something else when the door suddenly opened. Felix slowly turned his head and saw it was just Changbin who obviously didn't have a pleased look on his face. "Binnie hyung!" Jeongin said and laughed at the eye roll he received from Changbin, from the one that wasn't covered at least. "Why are you always here?" Changbin asks as he takes off his shoes. "Huh, because I want to make Felix hyung comfortable," Jeongin said as he watched Changbin walk closer to the kitchen.
Felix didn't pay much attention as he grabbed a glass and handed it to Changbin who was a bit shocked at the action but pushed it aside. He looked at Jeongin and he glared at the male. "Get off the counter," he said and Jeongin gave him an offended look. "Why are you always treating me like a kid," he whines as he crossed his arms. "You act like one and this is my house, get off my counter."
