Unfortunate Souls (Genshin Impact- Fischl x Bennett)

Unfortunate Timing

Bennett woke up that morning a little sore. His back hurt. He got up and looked around.

"Wait a minute..." He began. He just then remembered he was at Fischl's place. He looked to see Fischl in her bed asleep. Bennett touched her forehead. She still had a fever. Bennett sighed. He looked around and kinda just sat on the ground now. He decided to wait for Oz to wake up. As he looked around, he noticed many different cool objects. He found a few books and a little dagger thingy. He didn't touch it but he examined it.

"Hm... I bet she used this to fight off any monsters that crossed her in other worlds." He said. He looked around to make sure everyone was asleep, then picked up the dagger. It felt like a nice blade. He swung it around a bit to get a nice feel for it. You could tell he was bored.

"Bennett?" Oz asked. He was perched over Fischl's bed on a pole designed for him. Bennett jumped and placed the knife back quickly then turned to Oz.

"H-Hey! Morning!" He said. Oz sighed.

"I'm going to pretend that you didn't do that. Morning." He replied.

"Should we wake up Fischl?" Bennett asked. Oz looked down at her.

"Let her be. She needs a nice rest. Let's go make something for breakfast. Hopefully not burnt pancakes." He replied. Bennett nodded in agreement but at the same time shame for being able to burn pancakes that badly. He quickly went to work in Oz's supervision. After a few minutes, he conceived a... well, not the best pancake. It wasn't a circle at all and was a little too crispy. It was still a whole lot better than last time though. He brought in two of them on a plate for Fischl.

"Hey, wake up!" He shouted but still in a quite and calm tone. He shook her a little.

"Mmm... wha..?" She asked. She still seemed out of it.

"You can hear me, correct?" Bennett asked. Fischl nodded sluggishly but wasn't looking at him directly.

"Great. Open up." He said with a piece of pancake on his fork. Fischl opened her mouth a little as Bennett slowly fed her. She was still really out of it, barely conscious but still making progress. After finishing one whole pancake, Bennett pulled out medicine Barbara gave them.

"Drink up." He said. Fischl looked away from it.

"Eh... I don't want to~." She said, disgusted with the taste of the herbs and slime mixed in it. Bennett sighed.

"If you want to get better, then drink it." He said. Oz just watched the whole interaction to himself. If he had tea or coffee, he'd be sipping it and watching with much enjoyment.

"But..." Fischl was saying.

"No buts. Drink up." Bennett replied. Fischl groaned as Bennett helped her drink it.

"Well, at least she's getting a little better." He said.

"Indeed. I bet she'll be better by tomorrow." Oz replied. Bennett nodded. After a bit, Oz finished up Fischl's food while Bennett made himself some of his own. They turned out worse than Fischl's. After the morning, Bennett kinda hung around with Oz. Oz was telling Fischl about her adventures in her other world.

"Wait, so she had a pet as big as Stormterror?" He asked. Oz nodded.

"In her world, she was able to tame the beast using her powers. However, in her state, she won't be able to tame Stormterror now." Oz explained.

"Wow... she must have been really strong." Bennett replied. As they were talking, they heard something outside. Kinda like horses and a carriage.

"Could that be..." Oz began.
