Day of Confession
Bennett woke up early in the morning with a stretch and a yawn. As he did, he remembered what events would unfold. He turned red, then smacked himself.
"Come on Bennett! There's no backing down now! You can do this!" He said to himself. He was determined. He was ready for the day and walked outside. It was a beautiful day in Mondstadt. The sun was up, a perfect wind, and nothing could stand in Bennett's way... other than Bennett. He tripped on his own foot and fell over. He stood up.
"Please! I need to be lucky today! I have to get this right!" He said to himself, walking over to Good Hunter. As he was, he ended up making eye contact with Fischl, who was on her way to Kathryne. The two looked at each other for a long moment and didn't say anything. Bennett instantly ran the opposite direction, flustered.
"What if she already knows!? I don't want to see her until that time!" Bennett thought. He was in his room again. He took a deep breath, and walked out. Now that Fischl was on her commission, Bennett had a short amount of time to ready a few things.
"Flora! Do you take reservations?" Bennett asked.
"Reservations? I sell flowers." Flora replied. Bennett placed a bag of mora on the table.
"I need freshly picked Lampgrass by seven thirty, got it?" Bennett asked. Flora was confused but still understood what he meant. She agreed and Bennett walked off. Next was Sara at Good Hunter. However...
"Are you kidding me?" Bennett asked. The place was closed for the day. Sara was taking a day off. Bennett walked around for a bit, thinking.
"I still need to find an outfit... but..." Bennett was thinking. He remembered what Aether said. Do your best at being yourself. He nodded with his thumb and pointer finger on his chin.
"Right. Okay. After that, I have to read the poem." He said. He looked at the poem that seemed to surprise even Venti, so he was proud of it. Bennett sighed as he put it away. Time would pass, and that's all it would take. Even if it was still hours away, his heart was beating faster than anyone else. Faster than anyone else BUT one person...
"Oz! What do I do?" Fischl asked Oz as they were on their way from a commission.
"Hm... well, I would follow the instructions. When you do, I shall fly far and wait at the city. Is that alright?" Oz asked. Fischl nodded.
"Well, I still have a meeting with the others, so there's no time to waste!" She said, beginning to jog. She made it to Kathryne and obtained her reward. As she did, Kathryne asked a question.
"That letter. Was it a love letter?" She asked. Fischl instantly went red.
"M-Maybe! I-I have to go!" Fischl shouted, running off to Mona's. Kathryne sighed.
"Took them long enough." She said to herself. Fischl entered Mona's house to see Noelle, Barbara, and Mona waiting for her. Oz stayed behind to talked with Kathryne.
"Alright! Glad you came! We're gonna make you look better." Mona said.
"Are you implying that my form is of disgust to you?" Fischl asked. Mona facepalmed.
"No. In fact, you have a pretty nice face and body— ANYWAY THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT!" She shouted. That was sudden. Fischl took a seat and everyone examined her.
"We should do some makeup. Cover any scars and such." Barbara suggested.
"Hah! You think that I need mortal supplies to look so good? I, the Prinz—" Fischl was saying before Mona bonked her on the head.
