Unfortunate Souls (Genshin Impact- Fischl x Bennett)

There was no Funeral (Bonus Chp.)

"So you're telling me..." Bennett began. He was sitting in bed as Fischl hugged him tightly. They were at Bennett's place.

"You had a dream about me dying?" He asked. Fischl nodded with her face buried in his chest. Bennett sighed in a way where he was worried.

"Well, I'm just fine! See? No issues with me!" Bennett exclaimed. Fischl looked up from his chest. Tears were flooding her eyes.

"I... I... I..." Fischl was trying to get out. She couldn't speak. She was took saketh to speak. Bennett Pat her head.

"It's alright, it's alright. I'm here." Bennett said, patting her head. Fischl went back to hugging him more tightly. Bennett checked the time. It was still early in the morning.

"Look on the bright side, we can sleep in more." Bennett smiled. Fischl nodded. Bennett went from sitting up to laying down with Fischl still hugging him. As they did, there was a time of silence. Fischl had hiccups due to the crying, so the only movement made by them was Fischl trying to stop crying.

"Want me to get a cup of water?" Bennett asked. Fischl shook her head. Bennett smiled.

"Alright." He said. The two stayed there for quiet some time. As they almost fell asleep, Fischl looked up at Bennett from his chest. Bennett noticed and locked eyes with her. There was silence except for a heavy breath. Slowly, the two got closer to one other...

Knock knock knock

"Lovebirds! Let's go! We're ready for that adventure!" Mona shouted, banging on the door. The two turned to the door.

"Oh... right..." Bennett said. Some time had passed since they started to sleep. Bennett went to get up before Fischl pulled him. She shook her head.

"Mm mm." She sounded. Bennett noticed her fear and sadness in her eyes. He sighed, laying back down.

"I... I'm not feeling well. Go without me." He said.

"Do you know where Fischl is then? It can't just be me and Razor... and Oz." Mona replied.

"Nope! Sorry!" Bennett replied. Mona sighed.

"Alright. Thought she was here." She said. Bennett sighed in relief.

"Achoo!" Fischl sneezed. Everyone stopped moving. Fischl instantly covered her mouth.

"AHA! I knew it!" Mona shouted. Suddenly the door shot open as both Bennett and Fischl ran out of it.

"Make haste Bennett! Let the winds speed our travel!" Fischl exclaimed.

"Hey! Where do you— Come here!" Mona shouted, running after them. Razor quickly followed, running with them, not really after them. Oz sighed as he flew in the air.

"Those two..." He thought. Bennett and Fischl ran past people, getting away from a scolding from Mona. They glanced at one another, then smiled. It was just a dream. Nothing happened. Things were the same as ever, if not, better...

And so I wrote an angst chapter knowing full well people we're gonna read it and wonder if it was cannon or not because I decided to completely dodge the question every time someone asked. Anyway, Happy April Fools Day everyone. Glad to see you all bamboozled
