You Make Me Better

Time with Chae always seemed to fly. When you were with her, your perceptions seemingly folded and though there was no longer a reason to wish so, you felt a longing pain for more time, that time could slow down so you could just enjoy things for a bit longer.

It reminded you of IZ*ONE's disbandment. You felt that same need now more than ever, for now the stability of the support that Chaeyeon brought you was directly related to your decisions in this relationship.

Your mind raced through all of this as the two of you stood on the train together, heads leaning on one another's. While part of you was feeling better than ever, it's shadow could only remember your past anxieties. Such a mixture was tugging you in opposite directions emotionally, you felt confused. As the train made its stop for where you were headed, the two of you moved your heads. Adding to your confusion was the way your heart fluttered when you made eye contact with Chaeyeon, and the way you could still smell her shampoo. You just didn't want things to end.

As the two of you ate hotpot at a small restaurant, you tried to enjoy every moment, fending off the anxieties. You were moderately successful, and able to thoroughly enjoy the rest of your date with Chaeyeon.

As you walked her back to her apartment, she took your hand and smiled at you. It didn't make your anxieties disappear, but you felt like they no longer mattered, she made them feel small.

At the door to her apartment she stopped, turned to you and smirked.

"I had a wonderful time today, (y/n) you have a way of making me feel better, more connected to the earth."

"So you are an Angel, I didn't want to say anything too presumptuous but it all made perfect sense. Seriously though, today was amazing, Chae."

She blushed and diverted her gaze. "You're too cute... so... I've been thinking, I want to surprise you, but I need to know where you live. Seeing as you know where I live, I think it's only fair that I know your address."

You wrote down your address and handed it to her. "Maybe I can give you the tour sometime."

After stepping into her apartment, she turned back to you and smiled. "Sounds like a good time to me."

You kissed goodbye and parted ways. You felt in your heart that Chaeyeon was the only one for you. She is perfect in a human being, a goddess.
