Goddamn, did she not have anything else for us to do?

Professor Umbridge sat at her desk in the front of the classroom, writing something with her pink quill. Nora sighed and did as she was told. Another boring lesson, another boring afternoon.

Umbridge was not only incredibly boring, but she also had horrible style. She continuously wore different shades of pink, that clashed each other, making her look like a pink piece of vomit. Not to mention she also resembled a toad.

Nora looked at a certain girl through the corner of her eye. She could tell that she was also annoyed with Umbridge.

After a moment, Granger rose her hand.

Umbridge ignored her, causing Granger to keep her hand in the air for a few moments. The Professor, finally realizing that the Gryffindor wasn't going to back off, called on her.

"What is it Miss Granger?"

"I already finished this chapter," She stated.

"Then go on to the next one."

"I already did that as well."

"Then...the next one."

"I already finished the whole book, ma'am."

The Slytherin's eyes widened, before she rolled them. Only Granger would finish the most boring book in history faster than anyone else.

Umbridge did not look pleased. "Miss Granger, have I instructed you to read ahead?"

"No, but--"

"Detention."

Gasps were heard, and whispers suddenly filled the classroom. Nora rubbed her ears, wondering if they were working correctly.

The Hermione Granger, receiving detention?

All Nora could do watch as Umbridge stared at the Gryffindor with an obviously fake smile.

"E-Excuse me?"

"You heard me quite correctly Miss Granger. You have defied directions, and therefore you deserve punishment. At my office at seven-thirty sharp, right after lessons."

"But Professor, I didn't do anything bad--"

"You went against my instructions, that's bad enough," the teacher explained. Granger lowered her head, probably due to shame.

"Yes Professor."

Out of the corner of my eye, Nora saw Potter looking between the two, with a worried expression. The Slytherin narrowed her eyes, wondering what he could be possibly worried about. However, my thought process was disrupted by Umbridge.
