A/N: There is a some abuse/violence at the end of the chapter. I will put a warning then as well, but if you don't want to read that part then it's not required, you can skip to the end for a summary of what happened.

Nora sometimes thought that time was against her.

Before she knew it, it was already mid-March. She didn't really like how fast things were going at this point. It seemed like all she did was wake up, study and sleep, and eat something in between for days on repeat.

But studying was going pretty well. Everyday she found Granger out in the courtyard, and everyday she would sit next to her and study.

At first, Nora wanted to hit her head with a rock in embarrassment for suggesting that they should talk more. She definitely expected Granger to laugh in her face. But they seemed to be sticking to her word, spending more time together then before.

It was better, then before, much better. Before, people used to give her almost no privacy, but now it seemed that most people tried to avoid her. Nora felt silly for being afraid of that before, now it was like a dream come true.

Since everyone avoided her, no one saw her with Granger. Not that it would have been a problem if they did, it was just that no one minded their own business or actually used their brain, and Nora didn't think Granger would want to deal with anymore rumors.

They barely talked during their study sessions. They talked more than before, but still not a lot, which neither of them minded. Deep down, Nora knew that it was because she felt a sort of comfort with sitting next to Granger while reviewing.

"What did you get for number five?" Nora asked, leaning closer to look at her answers. Currently they were both doing Potions homework, and Snape decided to be generous and give them a two page question sheet.

"I'm not telling you, if I do then you won't learn anything."

Nora frowned, before taking a glance at the paper when Granger looked away. She smiled in satisfaction and wrote down the answer.

"You know you have to show your work right?"

   "It's fine, I'm a Slytherin."

   "True."

After they did some homework and quizzed each other, they both got up and left. Nora walked to the dungeons, and was surprised to see Snape out of his classroom, looking at her.

"Miss Lestrange, I must have a word with you."

Nora was confused, but followed him into the classroom. Snape closed the door after she entered, and turned to face her.

"Your mother owled me," He began.

  "She what?

"I'm assuming you have ears and that you heard very well Miss Lestrange...now if you'll let me continue I might answer your questions."

Nora didn't answer, and Snape continued. "Your mother seems to be concerned about you."

"Why would she be concerned?" asked Nora.

"I'll allow you to see for yourself," Snape said, handing her a piece of paper. Nora took it and turned around so she got read it.

  Dear Severus,

As you have most dreadfully heard, I am out of that dreadful prison, and I am writing to you regarding my daughter. As you are aware, I haven't been present in her school years or studies, so I would like weekly reports regarding her, as you are her professor and head of house. Also, I would also love to know why you didn't elect her as a prefect? Is she not good enough for your standards?
