"Miss Granger."

Hermione, who was in the library underlining important information looked up. She met the gaze of Professor Umbridge, who had a fake expression on her face.

"Yes Professor?"

"Your detentions are now over," she stated. Hermione rose an eyebrow.

"Pardon me Professor, but I know. After today's--"

"There will be no detention today," she impatiently interrupted. "I've decided that you've learned your lesson."

Hermione's face lightened for a moment, before clearing her throat. "Thank you Professor, I really did learn my lesson. I'll stop reading ahead."

"I'm delighted to hear that Miss Granger."

The Gryffindor sighed in relief. She got lucky, something in that fat toad's brain changed, and she was grateful.

Hermione smiled, she would have to let Lestrange know how lucky she got.

Perhaps they would get the same luck for getting rid of this rumor.

"And then I was thinking that we should have sort of a green aesthetic, but a royal green, not the ugly green you turn when you get sick."

Pansy was clearly very exciting about the planing. And nervous. Almost everyone invited had accepted her offer for a party, and now she was anxious. Nora understood, it was her first time throwing a party after all.

"Nora? Is that alright?"

"Yes, perfectly fine Pansy. Honestly just do whatever you want, it's your party."

"I'm sorry for bothering you so much," she sighed. "You just know what everybody wants."

Nora nodded awkwardly and smiled.

After answering a few more of Pansy's questions, Nora was able to get some alone time. She sat on her bed and worked on the Potions essay that was assigned by Snape. It seemed like O.W.Ls gave the Professor more of an excuse to torture them. Luckily for Nora however, she was a Slytherin, therefore she didn't need to put too much effort.

The girl glanced at the letter from Aunt Cissa, which was opened on her nightstand. Apparently, according to her aunt, she needed to get control of her magical outbursts soon. There were lots of questions, questions that Nora was too lazy to answer. Why bother? She thought. They had stopped anyways.

The door to the dorm opened, revealing Daphne Greengrass. She quickly entered the room and closed the door.

"Lestrange, is anyone else in here?"

Nora shook her head, and the blonde sighed in relief. "Good, because I've got something to ask you."

"Go on."
