They were now riding invisible creatures.
Hermione was trying not to look down, and instead she was focusing on Luna's earrings in front of her. This was because she knew that if she dared to look down, she would freak out.
It was hard to place her trust in something she couldn't see, but she did so for Harry.
And also the fact that Nora would kill her if she found out that Hermione injured herself because she was scared.
Not to mention...Hermione had promised to Nora that she would be careful after all.
It would be a shame to break a promise like that.

Finally, after what felt like forever, Hermione and the others reached the Ministry.
Harry clearly seemed to know what to do and where do go, because in just another few minutes, they were all making their way to the Department of Mysteries.
It was shocking for Hermione that the Ministry had such lax security. She'd have expected that especially in that department itself there would be tight security.
Well, it's not like the Ministry actually pays attention to the right things anyways. If they did, then a lot of the problems in the Wizarding World would have been solved, and we wouldn't have to be doing this.
"Alright," Harry began, turning to look at all of them. "Maybe some of you should stay out here and--"
"And what good is that going to do?" asked Ginny. "We won't know if something happens."
"We're coming with you Harry," Hermione said firmly.
Harry frowned before sighing in defeat. "Alright, let's go then."
Now they were in a large circular room, with doors that looked exactly identical to one and other. Hermione saw Harry look at the door they came from and curse.
"Someone shut the door," he muttered. Hermione's eyes widened as the doors started moving, as if they were switching places with each other. She grabbed Harry's hand in fear that the floor would start moving too.
Oh boy, Nora would be having a laughing fit if she saw her.
"What just happened?" Asked Ron.
"I think they're trying to stop us from knowing what door we came from," answered Ginny.
Harry was clearly trying not to panic, "Alright, in my dreams I just walked to the one door that was opposite to the door I came from...since that was the only door...now since there are multiple doors..."
He walked over to the door that was facing him, as Hermione and the others trailed behind him. "Let's try a few doors to find the right one."
Hermione sighed and nodded. This was probably a horrible idea, but what better one did they have?
---
Nora was trying to take a nap.
Keyword: trying.
Obviously she couldn't, and after tossing, turning and covering herself with her blanket, she decided to just remain awake.
Nora heard a rumor before that if you couldn't sleep, it meant that someone was dreaming or thinking of you. The Slytherin didn't believe in such things, but she really wanted to yell at whoever put her in their thoughts.
