Peter and I got to our shed first, going over the plan today to see what we need to accomplish in the timeline. We've needed to work fast because we were only given nine months instead of the twelve I asked for, but we're still behind schedule. It's stressing me out, quite frankly. And I feel like I've been having trouble focusing lately.
I usually don't lose focus in times like these, but something's been on my mind. I've been having this feeling in my chest for months and I don't understand what it is. I'm honestly to the point where I want to go see a doctor, but I won't be able to give them all the details. Especially since I know it only happens around Yeonjun or when I'm thinking about him. I'm also reluctant to go to the doctor because I honestly enjoy the feeling in my chest.
But sometimes, it hurts. It makes me feel extremely heavy. Although it's only happened a handful of times, every time is when I'm with Yeonjun. And surprisingly, it's only when he's upset or frustrated. I don't understand it. I mean, I get upset when he seems a bit unhappy or under the weather, but now it's like a pain inside of me. Yeonjun's the key for some reason, and I don't understand why he's the one making this happen to me—
"Soobin? Hello?" I snapped out of it, seeing Jisung waving his hand in front of my face.
I shook my head, bringing a hand up to anxiously rub the back of my neck, "Sorry."
He sighed, putting the stack of papers he was holding down on the table. He put his hand on the edge, leaning on it while placing his other hand on his hip, "What has been taking up your thoughts? That's the fifth time this week and it's merely Wednesday."
I gulped, pursing my lips, "May I ask you something?"
He nodded, "Go ahead."
"Do you ever get this floating or heavy feeling in your chest?"
He scrunched his eyebrows, "Ummm... What? Are you talking about airplanes? I've never been on one before."
I sighed, bringing a hand up to comb my fingers through my hair, "I get it all the time. I must need to ask a doctor."
"Like, you have that feeling right now?"
I shook my head, "It's so strange. It only happens around Yeonjun."
Jisung still looked confused for a moment, but then the corners of his mouth crept upwards, "When's the last time it happened?"
I was confused as to why he was smiling at me, but replied none the less, "Ummm... This morning. Yeonjun was dressed first and started making us breakfast. When I saw him, he just looked so..."
I paused, softly smiling to myself as I remembered this morning...
His back was to me, facing the stove as he made eggs for us. I remember staring at him for a few seconds smiling to myself when I felt my chest start floating. The sun was just rising over the horizon, giving Yeonjun this elegant glow, even though he has that glow without the sun's help. He was humming some melody that I wasn't aware of, so soft to the point where I could barely hear it.
I think he felt my presence, so he looked over his shoulder for a moment. The corners of his lips curved upwards into a smile once he saw me, the corners of his hazel eyes scrunching slightly as he said, "Eggs are almost done." Before turning back to the stove.
I hesitated before moving closer to him instead of the refrigerator to get us milk. His muscles tensed slightly when I placed my hands on his waist, my chest pressing up against his back. I don't think he was expecting me to do that, hearing a small laugh escape his lips as I took a moment to wrap my arms fully around him. I had to lean down a little to rest my chin on his shoulder, tilting my head to press against his cheek. Another chuckle came from Yeonjun, softly asking, "Everything alright?"
