I walked over towards Soobin while he was washing our dishes from breakfast. He always insists on washing the dishes since I'm the one who cooks, but I really don't mind cleaning. I wrapped my arms around his waist, seeing his little dimple pop out of nowhere as I rested my chin on his shoulder. It's funny; I usually envy his height. I guess since I'm more dominant, I feel like I should be taller to keep him safe, but it's times like these when I don't mind. I'm at the perfect height where I don't have to strain my neck in order to rest on his shoulder, fitting together like a puzzle piece. Maybe God knew we were destined to find each other. And people say our love isn't natural... right. There are dozens of animals that do it too, but nobody puts them through hormone therapy.
He flipped the sink off to scrub my plate with a sponge, getting off every stain that was previously there. I took the quietness to my advantage, "Darling? Do you know what day it is?"
He nodded, "It's the twentieth. I keep saying how you need to purchase a planner for your busy schedule."
I chuckled since he didn't fully understand my question, "No, no... I know the date. Do you know why it's special?"
He paused for a moment, pursing his lips together as he pondered my question. I smiled, leaning my head on his as he continued to think. Gosh, he's so adorable when he's confused, "Is it about us?"
I nodded, letting him continue to ponder as I rubbed over his soft stomach. He even stopped scrubbing the plate, putting all his focus on this one simple question, "I'm really sorry, but I cannot think of anything."
I pouted a bit, seeing him looking at me through the reflection of the window over the sink, "It's our anniversary."
He scrunched his eyebrows, turning his head towards me, "I thought the fifth was our anniversary, no?"
"We first kissed a year ago today. Remember? You came for dinner and stayed the night afterwards." I said, trying to reload his memory.
He smiled a little, his dimples showing as he replied, "Of course, I remember. I just thought our special day was on the fifth since we labeled ourselves as lovers..." He pursed his lips right after, "I'm sorry. I don't have anything prepared."
I kissed behind his ear, trying to reassure him it was alright since we just weren't on the same page, "Good, because I made plans for us already."
His eyes went a bit wide, "You did?"
I chuckled, "I thought today was our anniversary."
He smiled, silent for a moment before he lightly gasped, "Wait, this works out perfectly! Today can be your day to do something special and then the fifth can be my day to do something special so we don't have conflicting schedules."
"You shouldn't have to do something special for me on your birthday."
"You can't stop me." He quickly replied, a light laugh leaving my lips as he went back to scrubbing the plate in his hand.
He giggled with me, turning the water on to get all the soap off after thoroughly cleaning. He placed the plate on the drying rack, grabbing a towel off to the side to dry his hands. I hadn't realized that it was his last dish to clean, putting my full attention on Soobin when I initially hugged him. He turned around in my hold, smiling as he lazily wrapped his arms around my neck, playing with the hair on my nape. My hands were clasped together behind his back, able to pull him as close as possible, "What did you plan?" He asked, tilting his head to the side out of curiosity.
I smiled, simply replying, "That would ruin the surprise factor, wouldn't it?"
He giggled, "Is there anything you need me to do?"
