Yeonjun held my hand as he brought me to our bedroom, "Darling, sit."
I raised an eyebrow, still complying and sitting on the edge of the bed, "Alright..." I skeptically replied, letting go of his hand in order to sit down.
He smiled as he stood in front of me, placing his palms out. I smiled as well, lifting my hands up to rest in his warm touch, "Remember when we were talking last week about not being able to have children of our own?"
I pursed my lips and nodded, "It was quite emotional, yes."
He squatted down to my eyeline, "Well I listened, and I have a surprise for you."
I scrunched my eyebrows, "A surprise?"
He nodded, "I know we can't have children—well, we can't even get married... B-But I figured that this would be the next best thing."
I was skeptical about the situation, "What did you do?"
"Close your eyes..." He said, bringing my hands up and placing a kiss on my knuckles, "Trust me."
I sighed, hesitating for a moment before I closed my eyes. I felt him place another kiss on my knuckles before he let go of my hands, "Just one second." He said, hearing his footsteps go outside the room. I'm not quite sure where he went, but I didn't hear any footsteps going down the stairs.
Yeonjun came back into the room a minute later, his footsteps stopping before he said, "Alright, open your eyes, Soob..."
"I got us a puppy!" Yeonjun happily said as I opened my eyes, it took a few seconds to adjust to the light. I realized that Yeonjun was holding a small puppy in his hands, squishing it up against his cheek. I smiled as I stood up, the puppy sticking its tongue out to lick Yeonjun's face. We both laughed as Yeonjun pulled away a little, locking his eyes with mine.
I reached my hand out to pet the puppy, moving closer to Yeonjun in the process, "When did you get a puppy?" I asked, the huge dorky smile on my face from the overload of cuteness.
"When I was walking around the market yesterday, I went passed a pet shop and they were just so cute that I couldn't resist petting them. I saw this little guy trying to play with his friends, but he's so small that he gets trampled a lot. He just looked so sad a-and I knew we could give him a good home. A-And I remembered the conversation we had so I thought we could be puppy parents..." Yeonjun smiled, looking back at the puppy in his hands, "I got him today when I went to the market while you were at work. He's a german shepard and a little small for his age, but I thought we could take care of him."
I just smiled and shook my head, leaning forward to give Yeonjun a kiss. I melted into it, kissing his cheek once I had pulled away, "I love you."
Yeonjun smiled, "I love you too."
"What's his name?" I asked.
"I thought we could name him together. Have anything in mind?"
"Ummm... Korean or English?"
"Either is fine with me."
"Oh, how about Bletchley since we met here."
Yeonjun smiled wider, leaning over to give me a quick peck, "I love it... Oh—We prepared something for you..." Yeonjun said, taking a step back and kneeling down to place Bletchley on the floor, "Remember what we practiced, Bletchley?" Yeonjun asked softly, petting his head for a moment.
Yeonjun sat on the floor, crisscrossing his legs before he said, "Sit..." Bletchley just stood where he was, panting with his tongue sticking out. Yeonjun scratched his head, looking up at me anxiously before looking back at Bletchley, "Sit down." He commanded again as he patted the hard wood floor, but Bletchley didn't move an inch. He kept looking at Yeonjun innocently.
