I fluttered my eyes open, squinting from the light coming in the window. My alarm clock was blaring, but I heard Soobin roll over and turn it off as I rubbed my eyes, propping myself up on my other elbow. I laid down on my back again when Soobin rolled over to face me, smiling as he scooted closer, "Happy birthday." He quietly said, giddily like a small child.
I gave him a little smile as he placed a hand on my chest, "Thank you, darling." I replied before closing my eyes again, trying to prepare myself for the day ahead.
Soobin's hand slid from my chest to my jaw, feeling his soft lips against my forehead. He then pecked my cheek. And then my nose. And then my other cheek. And then my eyelids. And before I knew it, he was smothering my face with kisses. I chuckled, my voice deep from being so early in the morning, "What's with the kisses?" I asked, causing Soobin to stop.
I opened my eyes, seeing him hovering over me with a little smile on his face, "You aren't allowed to be upset today. Only happy things."
I chuckled a bit, knowing he just wants to see me smile since I've been upset the past few days. My trip to London was scarring, and it makes it worse that I have no clue where my parents have gone. I hope they've taken cover in the underground, but I've been fearing the worst.
I saw his smile go wider since I gave him a smile, making his dimples show. I reached out and placed my hands on his hips, lightly pulling him closer to me before I replied, "You're my happy thing."
He giggled, looking away as I noticed his cheeks beginning to have a light pink hue. He moved his face closer to mine when he turned back to me, our noses touching as he whispered, "Big breakfast so we can skip lunch?" And winked at me right after.
My smile went wider, knowing the inference he was making, "I'll never say 'no' to that."
He giggled again, leaning down further to connect our lips for a chaste kiss. He pulled away too soon, a whine escaping even though I didn't mean for it to happen. I swear, his little giggles make my day, "Save it for lunch break." He whispered, his eyes turning into macaroons from smiling so wide.
"Love you." I whispered back, seeing the tint on his cheeks turn darker from a simple statement.
He got timid, burying his face into the crook of my neck. Soobin wrapped his arms around my shoulders, replying, "Love you more." Muffled from saying it against my skin.
I chuckled from his shyness, snaking my arms around his waist to hug him. I kissed the side of his head, whispering in his ear, "That isn't possible."
He hesitated for a moment before saying, "Then I'm doing the impossible, aren't I?"
"God, you're adorable." I whispered, causing him to nuzzle his nose further into my neck. I wish we could stay here forever.
. . . . . . . . . . .
Soobin's breath hitched when I picked him up bridal-style, wanting to carry him to the bathroom. He was quick to put his hands on my nape, holding tight as I noticed his eyes slightly widened. I chuckled, leaning forward to softly kiss his forehead, "Don't fret. I've got you."
He looked at me, his eyes so soft as he asked, "W-Why're you carrying me?"
I smiled as I began walking to the bathroom, lowering my voice as I replied, "I don't want you to hurt yourself."
He dryly swallowed, pursing his lips which made one of his dimples pop out, "You didn't need to do all this."
I chuckled again, bringing him into the bathroom. I gently placed him down on the counter, bringing my hand up to tuck his hair behind his ear, "I'll make sure the water's warm."
