[Chapter Seven: Flaming Soul]

I stayed all night, awake. Nakatulog lang ata ako nang dalawang oras at agad na gumising dahil may pasok pa.

I didn't saw Life when I got out of my room, wala naman akong balak na hanapin siya. If they already left then I would be grateful.

Mabilis akong kumilos at lumabas ng dorm, dumiretsyo ako sa main building para sa una kong klase. Right after I opened the door, the professor at the front and the students looked at me in unison. I was confused for a second that they're silent.

"Miss Dacheu, I'm sure you're in a wrong room." The professor said.

I frowned.

Mukhang nabasa ng professor ang nasa utak ko kaya muli siyang nagsalita, "You changed your schedule, right?"

"Oh." Nakalimutan ko na agad na nag-iba nga pala ako ng schedule.

Mabilis na tiningnan ko ang dati kong upuan, it was empty. Neither my seatmate—Corpse wasn't there.

I nod my head before looking at the professor again, "My mistake, I apologize." dahan-dahan kong sinarado ang pintuan at nagbuntong-hininga.

The classes is not yet starting, the whole corridors are still full of students.

I made my way to the third floor where my new first class will be held, I stopped at the second door before grabbing the doorknob. When I opened it, some seats are still empty, mukhang napaaga nga ako ng pasok.

I walk forward to the back of the class where one table is not occupied yet, "Does somebody sits here?" I asked the student near me. Tumaas ang dalawa niyang kilay niya nang mapansin niya siya ang kausap ko, she nods. "Y-Yeah—I mean no, wala pang nagmamay-ari niyan..."

Agad akong umupo sa upuan at sinabit ko ang bag ko sa gilid ng lamesa kung saan may sabitan doon, I rest my back before closing my eyes, I still feel sleepy.

I was in turmoil when I heard loud voices coming from outside, I opened my eyes and I saw their silhouette from the white curtain at the window. Bumukas ang pintuan at pumasok doon ang tatlong lalaking estudyante, my eyes focused at the student at the back. He was reading a book while walking towards their seats, bago siya makaupo ay tumaas muna ang tingin niya at saktong nagtama ang mga mata namin. He just looked at me for awhile and quickly sat down after he looked away, he was sitting beside the empty seat.

Nang makaraan rin ang ilang minuto, sunod-sunod na ang pagpasok ng mga estudyante sa loob. Nang halos mapuno na ang mga upuan ay doon lang pumasok ang mukhang professor namin, she looks like a lady around 50 years old. And looks like a terror teacher too.

Tiningnan ko ang hilera ng upuan namin sa likuran, most of them are male students at dalawa lang kaming babae na nakaupo sa dulo. A luck, I'm a back-bencher.

Maybe at least sometimes, I should look like an authentic student even though I don't look like one.

Nagpangalong-baba lang ako sa lamesa habang hindi nakikinig sa mga sinasabi niya sa unahan.

Napatingin ako sa bintana nang may makita nanaman akong taong papasok, we heard a several knock at the door. Huminto ang professor sa pagsasalita sa unahan bago naglakad papunta sa pintuan, she opened the door and talked to the person outside.

Pumasok ang isang babae sa loob at agad na sinarado ang pintuan, she walks towards the middle and spoke. "My name is Hayden Calsey Salvia, it's nice to meet you all." She smiled a little.

I stared at her until the professor told her to sit at the empty seat beside Fontenelle, right after that, pinatong ko ang noo ko sa lamesa upang matulog nang kaunti. There's her knight and shining armour, maybe I'll take advantage of it and take a quick nap.
