[Chapter Nine: Child's Play]

"If you're just gonna stand there like a fucking mannequin, then throw yourself out of my room." Pabagsak kong binaba sa kama ang baril habang nakatingin sa taong pumasok sa kwarto ko.

He, then, walked slowly towards the wooden chair inside my room, he sat on it and faced me.

I frowned at his clothes, he's wearing a black pyjama and a white sleeveless shirt. Surely, he's about to go to bed at this hour.

"What do you want?" I asked.

Umayos siya ng upo, "I just talked with your Headmistress earlier, about your mission in this place."

Tumaas ang kaliwang kilay ko, "And what? Do you want to take my place and let it fail?" I asked sarcastically.

He still didn't showed any emotions like he always do, "I just wanted to ask you," he slightly frowned. "What's your business with Salvia?"

I cringed at his word, "Salvia? Are you really that rude to call the well-known Salvias like that?"

Kumunot ang noo niya, "No, not the entire clan of Salvias. Obviously, it's the student." He gave me a judgemental look. "Stop being stupid."

I rolled my eyes, "What about it?" tanong ko. Kung palalakihin ko ang mga pinagsasasabi niya sa'kin baka mapunta lang sa gulo ang usapang ito.

"Why did they picked you? And you don't look like a Dacheu, they have green eyes." Natigilan ako sa tanong niya.

"I was adopted, my adoptive father died few years ago." Paliwanag ko.

"Oh." Tumaas ang dalawang kilay niya, "Sorry to hear that, I didn't know you're Mr. Charlie's daughter."

Dumikwatro siya, "Well, I just found something about you recently," medyo tumagilid ang ulo niya. "You just got erased from your position as the Intelligence Officer—"

"Headmistress took me back." I interrupted him.

"— and one double agent just betrayed you in a set-up." pagtatapos niya sa sinasabi niya.

I crossed my arms, "It's none of your business, kid."

His brow arouse, "Oh, yeah?"

Tumaas pa ang kilay ko, "Hell, yeah. Because you're nothing but a senior year student, wala kang karapatang kwestyunin ang misyon ko."

He chuckled, "Alright," huminto siya sa pagtawa at tumingin saakin. "At least, I was never betrayed by anyone."

Binaba ko ang braso sa sinabi niya, he's already getting into my nerves. "If you're here just to annoy me then I'll repeat what I just said earlier, throw yourself out of my room."

He grinned, "I'm not here for that," sumeryoso ang itsyura niya. "spy."

"Then get out." I ordered coldly.

Hindi siya kumibo kaya kinuha ko ulit ang baril at tinutok 'yon sakanya, "Get out." utos ko.

He remained sitting and unmoving.

"Do you think I'm a coward to be scared at your gun pointing at me?" Natatawa niyang tanong.

I fake a smile, "No." agad na sumeryoso ang itsyura ko. "But I'm hell sure that Sir Joshua Fontenelle will be devastated to loss a son tommorow."

His face darkened, "Don't ever mention my father into this."

This time, ako naman ang nasisiyahan sa mga nangyayari. The tables have turned.

I chuckled, "Oh, okay. I won't." nilaro ko ang baril sa kamay ko. "I have a high repects to Salvias and Fontenelles, but sadly, one Fontenelle is excluded." I stared at him. "So, if you please. Leave my room and don't ever show your face to me ever again."
