Chapter 34: Violet

After school the next day, Mikasa was in her room getting ready for Halloween. She pulled on a pair of leggings and a thin shirt to wear under her costume in hopes that it would keep her warm. Once she got that on, she stepped into her onesie and zipped it up.

Admittedly, she didn't think it suited her all that well, but it was comfortable and cute which is what was most important for today. The last thing she wanted was for one of her friends, or her girlfriend, to dress her up in some 'sexy cop' outfit and call it a day.

"Mikasa, your girlfriend's here!" Eren yelled while pounding on her door. Mikasa cracked her door open, only enough to show her face, and she couldn't stop herself from glaring at Eren when she saw his costume.

"Really?" she deadpanned.

"What? Don't I look hot?" he asked triumphantly. He was wearing baggy fireman's pants and suspenders that held them up. He also didn't have a shirt on, so Mikasa guessed he went for the 'sexy' look.

"It looks like you're going to be cold," she said with a laugh. It was then that she saw Annie, holding her costume in her hand, as she made her way up the steps.

"You're an ass," Eren huffed before walking away, "Armin liked it."

"Of course he did," Mikasa yelled after him with a laugh while letting Annie into her room.

"Well don't you look adorable," she commented when she saw Mikasa in her tiger onesie.

"That was the goal, wasn't it?" Mikasa asked.

Annie just shrugged before stripping off her shirt and pants to pull on her own onesie. "See, cute," Mikasa said with a smile after Annie zipped it up, and Mikasa used her hands to pull the hood up which had sewn in ears.

"Roar," Annie said unenthusiastically which made Mikasa snicker.

"I can't believe you let Ymir talk us into this," Annie grumbled while laying on Mikasa's bed.

"It's the last time we can actually dress up without looking like idiots," Mikasa told her, "We may as well take advantage of it."

"I'm only doing this because I like you," Annie grumbled while crossing her arms. Mikasa laughed while climbing over Annie and staring at her.

"Only because you like me?" Mikasa asked with a pouting face.

"Maybe because I love you," Annie said while looking away, and Mikasa laughed before placing kisses all over her girlfriend's place while Annie scrunched her face up in faux anger.

"Sorry," Annie said before laughing hysterically, "I can't take you seriously in this."

"Aren't I intimidating?" Mikasa asked while making arguably the cutest face Annie had ever seen.

"Not at all," Annie said while sitting up.

"Let's go!" Eren said while banging on her door, and she grumbled while getting off the bed and pulling Annie with her.

"Don't forget the ears," Annie laughed while jumping to pull Mikasa's hood over her head.

"Yeah, yeah," Mikasa said while pulling it further towards her face.

"Awe, you look adorable," Eren teased.

"I will hit it," Mikasa threatened.

"Not my gorgeous face," Eren shrieked, and Mikasa had to bite her lip to stop herself from laughing.

"Everyone is waiting for us outside," Eren told her.

"Let's go then," Mikasa said while motioning for her brother to go first.
