This is quite a bit shorter than most chapters, but it is just a oneshot. Hopefully you guys enjoy this look into how Hitch and Eternity became a couple-

~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few weeks after fully accepting that Annie was gone from her clutches, Hitch found herself at a nearby diner. It was one she'd never really been to before. Hell, she couldn't remember the last time she'd been to a diner at all. Her family were rich, so they never "wasted time" on such small, cheap establishments.
However, Hitch was craving the homey, loving vibe that was said to be provided by a diner, and she was excited to try one out. When she entered, she smiled at the lady at a stand who led her to an open seat. It was a little sad to be there alone, but since she formally came out, no one really wanted to be around her.
She knew it was her own fault, really. She had tormented a lot of people for their sexuality, so to find out she herself wasn't as "normal" as they believed, it must've come as a shock.
In all honesty, it made her feel sick to her stomach. It had been her own internalized homophobia that made her treat people so horrendously when she herself was in a relationship with a woman. Not to mention that when Annie broke up with her, she began dating men and screwing Annie on the side.... All of it made her sick.
By the time she was seated, she no longer had an appetite. When the waitress came around, she told them her order with her head down, still sulking. "A coffee please, nothing added," Hitch said.
The waitress responded with, "Of course. Coming right up."
Hitch's eyebrows furrowed at the voice. It sounded familiar, but she couldn't quite distinguish it. Maybe someone from school? Probably. Deep down, she hoped it wasn't because that meant they'd probably spit in her drink or something. Maybe coming to a diner wasn't the smartest idea, after all.
When the waitress returned, Hitch was sure to look at them. She almost jumped 10 feet in the air, hair on her neck standing up like a cat. "Mikasa?" she exclaimed in surprise.
She saw the girl, Mikasa, take a deep breath before yelling, "Why does everyone think I'm that annoying, crazy bitch? So what if we're identical twins, we have different eyes! We have different styles! What the fuck is wrong with people."
"Huh?" Hitch asked, stunned. She saw that all the eyes of people in the diner were watching her, and she swallowed thickly, feeling suffocated by all the attention. She used to love attention, but when it felt so... so negative, she hated it.
"You mistook me for HER," the girl said in a threatening tone, "My name's Eternity, and don't you dare mistake me for that bitch ever again."
"Okay, okay, yeah sure. Sorry," Hitch apologized frantically. "Uh... if you're free, why don't you join me for lunch? I'm not eating with anyone else anyway." The ravenette raised a suspicious eyebrow at her, so Hitch added, "Consider it an apology for mistaking you for she-who-shall-not-be-named."
That got a laugh from the girl, Eternity. "I'll check with my manager, then.... Actually, give me your order first," Eternity said.
"Hmm, waffles... chocolate chip," Hitch decided with a firm nod.
"Mm, a woman after my own heart," Eternity joked, "Bacon, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns are your options with that."
"Um... bacon and hashbrowns please," Hitch decided.
"You just keep getting better and better," Eternity chuckled as he wrote her order, "I'll have that coming right up."
Hitch nodded and smiled sweetly. She felt her cheeks burn, and she quickly touched them with her fingers. Oh hell no, she thought, I am NOT blushing.
When Eternity returned, she was carrying a tray, and Hitch noticed that it had more than just what she ordered. "I took my lunch break now," Eternity said, "You're paying, right?"
"Yeah, yeah," Hitch agreed, "This is an apology meal, after all."
"Good, I like you already," Eternity smirked while digging into the omlet she'd apparently ordered for herself.
"I thought you were a waffle kind of gal?" Hitch asked.
"Usually, but I'm in an omelet mood today," Eternity explained, "They smelled particularly delicious today."
Hitch sniffed and sure enough, the omelet did smell really good. She nodded in acceptance and continued eating her waffle. "So, what brings you here? I don't think I've ever seen you before," Eternity asked.
"I don't know," Hitch shrugged, "Just had nothing better to do I guess."
"Tell me about it," the girl laughed as if she agreed.
"Parents hate me, school hates me, friends... What friends?" Hitch joked.
"Pfft," the ravenette laughed, "You know, you're really relatable."
"Sure Jan," Hitch rolled her eyes.
"Honestly, I think we could've been friends in another life," the girl teased.
"In another life?" Hitch asked.
"What, do you not believe in reincarnation?" Eternity asked curiously.
"Oh no no no, not that," Hitch assured her, "Just, why another life and not this one?"
"Well, because you mistook me for she-who-shall-not-be-named, of course," Eternity said.
"Really, you'd let that ruin a friendship?" Hitch asked with an eyebrow raised in annoyance.
"Yep."
The rest of their meal passed quickly and quietly. Eternity thanked her for the meal, leaving a $20 bill on the table. "I said I'd pay!" Hitch yelled at her.
"What can I say, you're a good conversationalist!" the girl yelled back, and Hitch gave up on fighting her.
After paying for her meal, Hitch walked out of the diner and back to her home. When she made it there, she sighed deeply and covered her head with her hands. I can't like her, of all people, Hitch thought, She looks just like Mikasa, for crying out loud! And if she's anywhere near as fucked up... count me out.
I'm still warming up to the idea of liking girls in general, Hitch grumbled while kicking her feet against her bed.
She took a deep breath and removed her hands from her face, staring at her ceiling. I guess she is really pretty, Hitch admitted with a sigh. She didn't want to believe it... didn't want to accept that she could fall in love with the twin of Mikasa.
Then again, it was Mikasa who gave her the wake up call. Mikasa who made her come out, and Mikasa who forgave her so easily. Hitch wasn't sure why Mikasa had taken mercy on her that day, but she would never ask the girl to her face. She was thankful for it, and that's all that mattered.
I hope I see her again, Hitch thought as she allowed herself to fall asleep.
