Private Sessions

Kylie Jingles POV

"First up, Kylie Jingles." Says a metallic voice.

I walk into the training hall. Being from district 1 is the best. We don't have to wait hours and hours until our private sessions. I'm the very first person to go, so the judges will actually pay attention to me.

"Hello Kylie." Says the head gamemaker. She kind of looks like me. We both have long blond locks and blue eyes.

"What will you be showing us today?" She asks

"I will be showing you my throwing knife skills." I say

"Very well, your time starts now." Says another woman who must be second in charge.

I walk over to a rack and choose five throwing knives.

"I want moving targets." I say.

The lights dim and 7 pixilated figures appear around the room.

Before I can even think I throw a knife into the first one. It explodes it pieces. This causes the other 6 to run at me. I throw another knife that lodges into where a figure skull is. It explodes. I quickly throw another knife that explodes another figure. Two of the figures that were charging at me stop dead in their tracks while the other to continue to sprint towards me. I use one of my knives to throw it at one of the figures that are just standing and watching. It explodes which causes the other one to run. I sprint away from the two that are chasing me. I run around and gather my knives. I throw a knife at one of the ones that are charging at me. But a sword appears in its hands and it deflects the knife. I quickly throw another one of knives at the figure without a weapon. I throw a knife at the figure with the sword and it lodges in its head causing it to explode.

I know that there is one more figure somewhere. It's hiding.

Something isn't right. I drop to floor as a spear flies past my head. I whip around and throw my knife at the last figure. It explodes into little pixels.

The game makers applaud and cheer.

"Very well Kylie." Says the head game maker.

With that I strut out of the training center.
