Chapter Twenty Seven.

After Justin and I got out of the shower he wrapped me in a towel and led me back into his bedroom so he could lend me some clothes. I was shivering from head to toe as drops of water were going onto the hardwood flooring and I could tell he was still frustrated from what happened a couple of moments ago but that’s just his friends and I’m getting used to them. Mark and Colby were always like that and Scott was the nicer one. You just have to get used to them all.

“It’s s-so cold.” I shivered, wrapping the towel more around me. “I swear there’s no heat on in this house.”

Looking up at me for a moment, he noticed how badly I was shivering and got a little smile on his face before he finally found a sweater and he completely took me by surprise, releasing the towel from under my arms and sliding the sweater over so my body was engulfed.

            “Justin…”

            “Here baby.”

Then he passed me some really warm and fuzzy sweatpants of his and I slid them on with no underwear on, which thankfully he knew better than to comment on, and wrapped my arms around my waist so I could try to somewhat warm up some more. Sometimes when he does little things like this I can’t help but fall in love with him even more.

“Your feet are probably cold so wear these. I can’t find my other ones so those are the only ones I have right now.”

A pair of knee length nike socks landed into my hands and I gratefully put them on before I took the brush off of his dresser and began to run it through my hair. The tangles were unbelievable but when I was finally done and the brush ran smoothly through it he wrapped his arms around my waist and I stared at our reflection in the mirror. We looked happy or maybe beyond that even. He was staring at me as I was staring at us and I finally smiled, looking at him again so my eyes locked with his.

“Good thing we have a fireplace, huh?” He smirked, tugging me towards the door.

I couldn’t think of a better way to end our day than to cuddle by the fire with him so I didn’t decline. Instead I followed him down the stairs and crossed my arms over my chest because I wasn’t wearing a bra and if Colby or Mark so much as glanced at my boobs I know Justin would kill them and that’s not exactly a trait I like about him.

Glances were thrown our way when we reached the living room because of course everyone was gathered there and my face went as red as it could get before I sat down onto the carpet by the fireplace and brought my knees up to my chest.

“Don’t say a word.” Justin warned jokingly, his tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek. “I don’t need to hear it.”

“What Justin? We aren’t going to say anything except-“

“Shit.” He muttered, pausing for a second to look at me. “I’ll be right back. I’m going to grab the comforter from my room.”

“There’s a huge blanket in the downstairs closet.” Scott said to him. “Just use that one.”

“No. The comforter’s heavier and she’s cold so the blanket probably won’t do much.”

He was heading upstairs before he could hear anything more and Scott stared into space in disbelief for a second before he just looked back at me and sent me a cheesy smirk. Everyone was sending me a cheesy smirk and I rolled my eyes, running my fingers through my wet hair before I rested onto my back on the carpet.
