Chapter One.

Collapsing from another round, I stare up at the ceiling to try and calm myself down. I was breathing heavily, and when I glance over at Justin, he's doing the same thing. The both of us never stayed in bed together for more than five minutes afterwards, and it's pretty much become our routine for the past six months now. Rising to my feet, I feel his eyes stare at me as I begin to find my clothes that were scattered endlessly around the room. He never got out of the bed so that I could watch him, but this was his room. So I never really questioned it.

"Tomorrow night?" He asks, letting out a yawn. His arms are so muscular that they're distracting. I find my eyes drawn to them for a good ten seconds before I can muster up an answer.

"Well I thought you'd say tonight but yeah, tomorrow's good." I finish, throwing my long brown hair into a tight ponytail. I'm trying to somehow not do the walk of shame in front of his frat brothers, but I know that it's almost impossible. They know about me by now and they know what we do. It's embarrassing, and never in my life did I think I would ever become one of those girls to be friends with benefits with someone, but the day I met him changed everything. Could anyone really blame me? He was the heartthrob of everyone on campus, although no one really knew what we did behind closed doors except for a select few.

"I can't tonight." He says, sending me that ridiculously cute crooked smile. "I'm taking Lexi out to dinner."

Looking myself over in his mirror, I try to wipe underneath my eyes to get rid of the mascara that had smeared and look at him looking at me in the reflection. I'm not hurt that he's taking someone else out because we had agreed to this in the beginning that there would be no emotional attachments. He told me before that he doesn't do that sort of thing."The same girl you took last week?" I finally manage to ask. "You're going on a second date?"

"I mean, yeah." He says. "She's nice and all, so I'm taking her out again."

"Alright.." I trail off, pondering his answer for a moment. "Cool. Well I hope you have fun. Just remember though that if you do end up dating this girl you won't be getting a piece of this anymore." I jokingly smack my backside before I bend down to pick up my backpack off of the floor, gathering together my folders that had fallen out from how intense things got just minutes ago. We always get like that though after class. Between the tension and the boring teacher we just can't help ourselves. After psychology we usually come back here and do what we love to do best.

"And why is that?" He questions, the smirk still plastered onto his face.

"Because I refuse to be a homewrecker." I reply, walking back over towards him. "Then we really will be just friends."

"Yeah," he laughs, extending his arms out towards me, "Friends who like to do this..." He then pulls me closer and he kisses me quickly, his lips just gently brushing mine like they usually do before I leave. I roll my eyes from his corny and somewhat dick-like comment and lean away before I blow him a kiss, closing the door to his room behind me. I would like to try and quietly find my way out, but of course that isn't going to work. It never does.

"Reina." Scott Caster, one of Justin's friends from the football team, has a cheesy smirk on his face as he looks at me, his eyes gleaming with delight. All of his other frat brothers that are seated on the couch turn to look at me as well. I knew I wouldn't be able to leave here without getting at least one seductive remark from him.

"What?" I spat.

"You give him some of that Puerto Rican love mami?" He lets out a laugh, all of the frat brothers chuckling beside him.

"Just Friends."Where stories live. Discover now
