"Just Friends."

Chapter Six.

Chapter Six. 

            On Friday we were all meeting up at the house before we went to the team dinner. It was a big deal to everyone but to me I didn’t really care about it and the fact that we had to take a limo made me that much more irritated because it’s so cheesy. I would much rather just walk there because it literally was only right down four blocks away but no. We had to rent a stupid limo.

            Fixing my tie in the mirror, I walked over to my bed to put on my suit jacket and grabbed my phone off of the nightstand before I shut my door closed behind me and thudded down the steps, stopping dead in my tracks when I saw Reina talking to Scott in the foyer.

            She looked so beautiful. I’ve never had the word come into my mind before with her because it was usually always sexy or hot but she looked down right beautiful. Her hair was curled and half of it was pulled back, a red and elegant dressed draped over her body that had a low cut down the chest so the outlines of her breasts were showing. Scott focused his attention towards me on the staircase and I could tell he thought the same thing. Reina was something else.

            “Reina.” I breathed out. “Wow uh, hi.”

            Before she could respond Colby came into the room wearing a similar suit to mine and wrapped his arms around her waist and he fucking kissed her cheek. He put his lips on her and I almost attacked him right then and there. I wanted to beat the living shit out of him and I have no idea why. Reina and I were best friends and I had to literally keep reminding myself that. We’re just friends.

            “Is everyone ready to go?”

            I felt stupid standing here in a tux without a date. At first I thought a date was stupid but everyone else had one and I was standing here like a loser without one. I was annoyed and I didn’t want to even go now but I had to since it was the team dinner.

            We all walked outside and I watched Colby open the door of the limo for Reina, her giving him a grateful smile as she stepped inside, and we all followed in behind them. I ended up sitting at the far end alone while everyone else was sitting on the sides and they were all wrapped up and enveloped in conversations within minutes.

            It was beyond awkward for me and I would rather not look at Reina and Colby because I would probably gag and why should I feel like this? It shouldn’t even have an effect on me because we’re just friends but god, seeing someone put their hands on her drives me crazy. That’s jealousy and I know it is but I’m not jealous because I want her. I’m jealous because I want to put my hands on her.

            Suddenly my phone buzzed in my pocket so I pulled it out and checked it since I obviously had nothing better to do.

           

New Message From: Reina.

U in a suit… I want to fuck. Now.

 

 

            I popped my eyes up from the screen and saw her giving me the most intense expression on her face and that’s when I smiled to myself because I knew she wanted to sleep with me and not Colby. She thought I looked better in my suit and that gave me some sort of reassurance that this friends with benefits thing wasn’t stopping anytime soon thankfully.
