Chapter Thirty One.
“Well would you look at this.” Mark chuckled. “Looks like you two are back to normal.”
All eyes stared at us as my hand was in his and I was leading him back into the living room. It had been about an hour or so up in his room and I feel like him and I needed to let everything out and all of our emotions to each other. We didn’t have sex, no, but talking to each other about a lot of stuff was good I think because we’re not exactly used to doing that. We’re used to pouring our feelings out in sex verses actually communicating them so this was good and this was a huge step for us. I certainly felt closer to him and I think he did too.
“You guys okay?” Casey asked.
“Better than ever.” Justin answered for me. “There were just a lot of things we needed to talk about but we’re good now. Really good.”
“Okay so now that your guys’ bullshit is out of the way, Capa is throwing a party next weekend and we all got the invite. Are you guys gonna be cool and go or be lame and stay back?”
Justin stared at Scott for a couple of seconds before he sunk down onto the floor and pulled me down into his lap.
“Up to Reina.” He said. “Do you wanna go?”
“I mean, yeah. I’m always up for a party. It sounds like fun.”
“See? I told you.” Casey whined to Scott. “I vote we just stay and watch Netflix babe.”
“But this is one of the biggest parties of the year. Everyone and anyone will be there.”
“Now if you had chosen wisely and you had chosen to stay back with me you would have gotten so much head during our movie night.”
My mouth completely dropped open once Casey said that and all of the guys erupted into laughter, including Justin, Scott getting a disappointed look on his face because he must know that she’s telling the truth. The one thing I knew about Casey was that she’s serious about everything but I never knew her to be the outspoken type. College must really be hitting her.
“Fuck.” He laughed, putting his arm around her shoulder. “Can I change my mind?”
“Nope. You chose the party. I’ll go, but you won’t be getting anything afterwards.”
Then we all started to laugh because we knew she was just joking around but it was cute to see the two of them together. They honestly and truly really did make a great couple and the weirdest thing is that they hardly ever fight. Casey has never told me about a fight between the two of them and I kind of wish Justin and I were like that. I get that not every relationship is going to be the same but I just wish I had more faith in ours so that we could be like that. Happy and in love all the time instead of the ups and downs.
“Hey.” Justin murmured into my ear when no one was paying attention. “Can we go upstairs?”
“So we can have sex? No offense but after everything that-“
“No, not sex. I just want to be alone with you and be away from my friends for a bit.”
Never has he once said this to me and when I got a smile on my face he knew the answer. It was adorable of him because in a way I think he feels like he can’t be his true self in front of his friends. I mean yeah, he’s sappy in front of them, but when we’re alone he’s a complete different person but I didn’t mind because I understand. He wants to keep his ego around his friends.
