"Who are you?"

Perhaps it was because it was the middle of the night, perhaps it was because she was tired, perhaps it was because there were still some remaining festivities occurring in the town, but truly, she did not expect the answer that came from his mouth.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" The man said.

She wasn't one to lose her temper all that easily (or at least show it), but something about this man pissed her off. She furrowed her brows and groaned, yet did not lower her knife. "Should you really be asking that to the person who has a knife against your throat?"

"Well, if I know your name, I'll know whether you have grudge on me and want to kill me to be rid of it, or if you're unjustified to raise a knife against my throat, as you say," the man stated with a slight smirk on his face. He was truly infuriating.

"State your name!"

"Alright, alright!" The man said, raising his arms in defeat. He cleared his throat and offered a hand to her, a somewhat smug smile on his face.

"Ike?" The name seemed familiar to her. "Are you perhaps the one Prince Marth called for?"

"The one and only, now, your name-"

"Prove it."

Ike blinked. "Pardon?"

"Prove your identity. Or what, do you expect to simply believe you based on simply on words?"

"Are you a royal guard or something?"

Now it was Zelda's turn to blink. "You're not very involved in politics, are you?"

"How'd you know?!" Ike gasped, completely flabbergasted that she knew how much politics bored and confused him.

"Lucky... guesss, I suppose. Now, prove that you are who you say, please," Zelda demanded, extending her hand out. Ike groaned and took out a piece of paper from his coat, then ripped up a small piece of it from the bottom and handed it to Zelda. It contained Marth's signature.

"I'd hand you the whole letter, but I'm afraid it's written in a code only Marth, I, and the other fellow that came here understand. You seem like a smart lady, so I'm not taking any chances. All the letter said was to come here urgently, though," Ike explained.

"I see, very well, you've confirmed your identity. Good night, then-"

"Hold it," Ike grabbed her wrist before she could leave. Zelda's breath hitched and she jerked her hand away from his grasp.

"Watch where you touch me," Zelda glared.

Ike's face became apologetic as he raised his hands up and stepped away. "I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to frighten or hurt you, I was just wondering what your name was."
