Oh shit. He was planning on going to meet Sheik first before doing anything else, but he was suddenly stopped at the gates of the castle by Ganondorf and had all of his mercs ripped away from him, despite him having an invitation signed by Zelda herself. He figured (or at least hoped) that they'd been taken somewhere safe as he talked to this giant of a man, and now here he was, making a bad impression on his beloved's brother. Fantastic.
"Uh, Prince Shinson, I apologize for my tardiness," Ike quickly bowed, feeling Sheik's eyes glaring down on him. "Um..."
"It's Sheik," the prince said quietly. "He/They, get it right. Now follow me."
Ike looked up in disbelief, watching as Sheik's figure went deeper into the castle. Maybe he hadn't fully fucked up yet? He shook his head to clear it of any nervousness he might have felt and quickly followed after Sheik, Ganondorf close behind. He kinda felt like he was being taken to prison honestly. But to his relief, he was instead taken to a small office within the first floor of the castle, upon which lay a desk with a large chair right behind it, where Sheik then sat. Ganondorf stood behind him and Ike felt a sudden immense amount of pressure.
"You arrived earlier than expected," Sheik said.
"Ah, yes. Thankfully, things went well back in Tellius, so we were able to finish fixing damages rather quickly," Ike explained. He couldn't tell them that Elincia had practically pushed him out and encouraged him to take more jobs. He also couldn't say he wanted to see Sheik's dear sister incredibly ardently, so much so he couldn't wait a full month.
