"Should we really stay here? I mean, it's been a couple hours now," Link said. "If we really are in such great danger, maybe we should get out of here?"

"Well, if you want to fall to your death, be my guest," Zelda smiled. "I could always use teleportation magic, unfortunately I can't teleport two people at once."

"Oh! Don't worry about me, Zelda! You should go and find the others!" Link encouraged. Zelda scoffed and smiled, looking away at the setting sun. "By the way, I find it a little weird that we haven't seen any enemies?" He gave Zelda a knowing look. "Did you freeze them?"

"Well wind magic wouldn't work. Don't worry, they'll be alive once thawed out," Zelda said. She noticed a light blue square fly past her. Her gaze followed it, and saw as multiple squares gathered in the spot Pit once laid in. Link immediately stood up, putting himself in front of Zelda while she peaked behind him.

The squares cleared away, revealing Pit laying on his stomach, the injuries on his wings completely gone. He looked up, and when he saw Link standing right in front of him, he screamed and backed away. "Get that guy away from me!"

"You're back," Zelda said, snapping her fingers so Link transformed into his wolf form. "So, would you mind telling us what the hell is going on?"

Pit raised a brow. "You're not even gonna ask how I came back?"

"I've seen odder things," Zelda shrugged. "Now talk."

Pit pouted as he scooched up so he could face her clearly. "Well, my name is Pit. This land is called is called Skyworld, ruler by the goddess Palutena. I assume you know who that is?"

Zelda pondered for a moment. "Ah yes, she who was responsible for the near-genocide of all human beings about two thousand years ago, but was calmed by one human."

Pit scoffed, suddenly getting cocky. "And that human was me!" No one was impressed. He coughed. "Ahem, I had to sacrifice my mortal life for it, but anyway, she gave up on massacring human kind after I spoke to her. And since then, she's been rather peaceful, right? Right. Anyway, everything was fine up until a couple days ago, but then someone made contact with us."

"As in they came to Skyworld?"

"No, they talked to us through a giant yellow ball that floated up here. They talked about playing a game, or something. A-anyway, I had a bad feeling about it, so I advised Lady Palutena to reject it," Pit sighed. "But, her being the goddess of chaos and everything, of course she accepted it."

"So this is all just a game for her?" Zelda asked. "She's using her soldiers as a way to entertain herself?"

"Not exactly," Pit said. "See, after Lady Palutena agreed, that yellow ball, um, exploded I guess would be the word, and it's fragments went into her. She started spazzing out, her entire body glowed gold, and her eyes turned red. She changed then."

"What do you mean?"

"She wasn't cruel, at least not anymore. She liked to play around with people, sure, but those were more so small pranks that didn't harm anybody. She took good care of us," Pit frowned. "But, after those fragments went into her, it was like she was back to her old self. That day, she took an angel and skinned his feathers off his wings to make herself a scarf."

"What the hell," Zelda gasped.

Pit nodded. "Angels die when their wings get severely hurt. I had to bury many of them while she had her fun. But then one day, the voice came back, I didn't hear it but she told me it was in her head, and they told her there was a human on the ground that they needed. They told her to do whatever she had to do to get the human and their group up here. And so, she took a feather from my wings and sent it down there, as a means of transportation.
