"I'm a little confused. I was over in Tellius at the time so the news weren't very clear, but I thought Gangrel died four years ago at the Siege of Ylisse? How could he possibly be out there, leading an army?" Ike pondered, half to himself and half to the princess that stood next to him. She glared down at him as she mounted the wolf next to her.

"May I know why you're following me?" Zelda inquired.

"I can't say I wanna be here next to you either, Princess, but unfortunately Marth stationed me on this side of the battlefield, thus I have no choice but to interact with you," Ike said. "I do hope you don't mind."

Zelda rolled her eyes and sighed, yet she smiled a bit. Somehow, she was becoming attached to this guy, whether that attachment be of wanting to ruin his life or out of endearment, she couldn't tell yet. "Indeed, Gangrel did die four years ago. Perhaps he has become a Risen monster?"

"Is that really possible?"

"Perhaps, I didn't get much of a chance to study them considering, well, this happened," Zelda waved her hand ahead to signal the coming army of Risen. "They are undead soldiers after all. Gangrel was part of the Grimleal, perhaps they've gotten hold of his body and revived him."

"The Grimleal?"

"You really don't involve yourself in politics, do you?"

Ike scratched the back of his head with one hand as he picked up his sword with the other. "They're boring, I'm more interested in picking a physical fight rather than one of tactics and logic. Plus, I'm not one that has the brains for such tactic and logic fights."

"At least you're honest with yourself," Zelda agreed. She summoned forward her sword using magic and lightly kicked Link sides, readying him for the coming battle. They were at the frontlines, about to face the Risen head on. Truth be told, they were disgusting to look at. Their faces were covered by masks that seemed to be made of out fresh human flesh, their bodies were purple and their bones were clearly broken in multiple places, there were even large holes in some of them, and yet they walked with ease. The air around them smelt of a mix garlic and rotten flesh, flies were eating their flesh laying their larvae on any holes or scars they find. Zelda furrows her eyebrows as she held back a gag. "Well, sir, I do hope you don't die out there. Carrying your body would be quite the hassle."

"Oh? Does that mean you plan on staying close to me? I'm honored," Ike smirked. Zelda rolled her eyes and charged forward, Ike following close behind.

Chrom placed a sword in Lucina's hands as they prepared to head further into the battlefield. He looked into her eyes, noticing the fear yet determination in them. He frowned and gripped the sword tightly.

"Lucina, are you sure you want to do this?" Chrom said. "We're heading off to battle the man who made you suffer so much, and yet..."

"I want to help father in anyway I can!" Lucina insisted, "If I can be helpful to father by fighting, then I'm not afraid! Not a bit! So don't worry about me! I'm really strong, you know, so there's no need to worry at all!" Chrom couldn't help but smile at his daughter's antics. He fully handed her the sword and a look of adrenaline flashed through her face.

"I'm glad you're so confident, but don't underestimate your opponents, alright?" Chrom said as he patted her head while she nodded. "I'll be heading out to the front lines, after all I gotta take care of that bastard myself. Robin, you stick with Lucina."

Robin, who had been watching from afar, simply smiled and nodded. Of course he wasn't. Well he was, but not like how Chrom wanted him to. He'd stay with her for a while then oh no! Some soldiers in the distance looked like they needed help, he had to help them! Then he got separated from Lucina, yada yada yada, and then he hoped she'd get taken out in some fantastic and tragic way. Then Chrom wouldn't have to worry about her anymore and all's well that ends well.
