Miki's POV:
"Lemme guess. You met her, got to know her, fell in love?" i said getting comfortable on the couch.
"Something like that. Just let me go on with the story." grandpa said.
"Sorry." i told him.
"Anyway, I was mad that I had to get a tutor but I needed to stay on the team. Coincidentally, Ivy and I had the same off period at the last period...".....

Tyler's POV:
.....I was walking towards the library to meet up with the girl. Earlier I passed by my teacher and she told me that we had the same off period and that we were meeting up at the library during the time to get started right away. I was cool with that. The sooner we get started the better.
I stepped in the library and looked for the girl. I've never met her before but from what ive heard, she was a dork. I looked for a girl that looked like a hobo. I spotted one at the corner of the library.......

Miki's POV:
"You imagined her as a hobo?!" i blurted out laughing. "Your such a -giggle- jerk!"
"I didnt even know the girl! I heard she dresses ugly and is ugly so I thought of hobo. Geez, give me a break. Ive heard it so many times before. Just let me move on with the story." grandpa exclaimed. Grandma was laughing too. If I were her I wouldve been pissed.
"Ok. Sorry. Sorry. Im done." i sighed, calming down.
"So I saw her at the corner of the library...".....

Tyler's POV:
..... I studied the girl for a minute before walking up to her. She was wearing an oversized black hoodie, ripped greasy jeans, and thick glasses. She had a slight tan, full lips, and frizzy black hair. Her hair was messy like she didnt even bother fixing it when she woke up. On some girls messy hair would look sexy but hers just looked horrible.
I reached her table and plopped down in front of her. She looked up to see who it was but went back to reading her book.
I thought she wouldve stopped and stared but it was as if my looks didnt charm her. What the hell. She was lucky I was even allowing myself to be caught with her. I coughed.
"Are you Ivy?" I asked politely.
"Unfortunately." she murmured in barely a whisper but I caught what she said. "Mmhm." she said louder this time, putting her book down and looked me in the eye. She wasnt even reading a book. It was a freakin textbook. "You?"
She seriously didnt know who I was?
"Oh, um, I, Im Tyler. Tyler Brooks." i held my hand out to her. Why was I being so formal?
She just stared at it. This is where you shake my hand and say 'nice to meet you' or something you stupid hobo. I let my hand drop awkwardly after a few seconds.
"Lets get started." she said. And thats where the torture began.
[Moments later]
"No. Your doing it wrong. Your suppose to use cosine, not tangent. You only use tangent when it doesnt give you the hypotenuse." she said. Most people would be annoyed but she was patient with me. Weird. "Here's a way to remember." she grabbed my notebook and at the top of it wrote SOHCAHTOA.
"SOH is sine where its opposite over hypotenuse," she said pointing at the letters with her pencil. "COH is cosine where you use adjacent over hypotenuse and TOA is tangent equals opposite over adjacent. Get it?"
"Yeah," i breathed. "It actually makes more sense." i stored the helpful hint in my brain. SOHCAHTOA, SOHCAHTOA, SOHCAHTOA, I kept repeating in my mind.
"Now here is where it gets harder-" saved by the bell!
"See ya." i grabbed my stuff and sprinted towards the door. I stopped when I forgot to do something. I turned around and saw her packing her stuff slowly. I approached her and stopped a few feet away from her.
"Hey Ivy." i said. She turned around in shock to see I was still here.
"Thanks by the way. Your a great tutor and it really means a lot that your helping me." now she was really shocked but I was really thankful. Without her help I wouldnt pass my classes which means I would get kicked out of the team.
Her mouth was open but then she gave me a small smile. She actually smiled! At me! Whew, for a while there I thought she didnt like me.
"Its fine." she said. She hitched her backpack up her shoulder which seems to weigh a ton. "I gotta go now. Long walk ahead of me." she walked past me and out the doors. I caught up with her in a second.
"You need a ride?" I offered. Some people gave us weird looks and disgusted ones at Ivy.
"No thank you." I stopped for a second but pulled on her hoodie before she got away.
"Ok well whats the plan for tomorrow? I have football practice and Im busy during our off so..." i trailed off.
She seemed to debate with herself before she answered me.
"Um, we could meet up at my place around 4:30." she wrote down her address and number on a piece of paper and handed it to me then started her walk home.
I rolled it up and put it in my pocket. I smiled at myself. Ivy was intriguing.
On my drive home I thought I passed by her. She was walking with her hoodie up and her head down hitching her backpack up higher. Yep that was definitely her backpack. I was gonna offer bringing her home again but didnt......
