Chapter 19: Time goes by

January went by fast. Jai had been preparing for the role of Captain Boomerang, training, working out, growing beard learning his lines. I was working from home, so often we were both home, in our own world, but still, at home, together. I had to take the maximum out of it before the filming started in Toronto.

I also planned to go see Kat and their babygirl in the end of February. So I had to wrap up my work and plan to go by the office when I'm there to give my overview of the things I've done so far. So I had lots of work and stress due to it.

Few days before Valentines Day Jai said over our dinner table "I'd ask you to marry me on Valentines Day if we weren't married already." and took another bite of his dinner.

My fork stopped on the way to my mouth "Aww, that's sweet."

He laughed "Yeah. Let me take you for a fancy dinner anyway. I'll allow you to wear some sexy thing of clothing that will probably drive me insane before we could leave the house." I laughed.

"Why don't we skip it all and stay at home. We could order in and watch some movies." I suggested.

"Really?" he hesitated.

"Yeah. I don't feel like sharing you with the world just before you go away to Toronto." I suggested smiling to him over the table.

"So butt naked Friday it will be." he said smirking and rising at toast with his water.

Few days before my flight to see Kat and Eric I started to pack my things and organize my work so everything that had to be done was done and everything else was waiting me when I returned.

I had weird feeling in my stomach, like I had caught flu or something. I ignored it the first day but the next day it really bugged me so I searched some herbal tea to relieve my discomfort.

"You ok, babe?" Jai asked concerned look on his face.

"Yeah, I just have discomfort in my stomach, hopefully its not a stomach flu." I tried to ensure him.

"Oh shit, that would be a real bitch!" he laughed.

"Don't be an ass, Jai!" I said annoyed.

He came to me and wrapped his arms around me "I'm sorry baby. I've been practicing my lines, I guess my inner shitbag is showing."

"You think? Slap him on the face then." I joked and prepared my tea.

We spent the day together, without any work distracting us. We went for a walk on the beach and bought Chinese food to eat while watching TV.

I had to go to sleep early to catch my early connecting flight to NY.
