It was so great to breathe cold frisky air after a long flight from New York to my hometown. Especially after I had thrown up on plane. I never liked those meals served at the flight, but this was an another level.

"Awww, baby, you look like shit!" said Jai when I skyped him as soon as possible "Is your stomach still acting up?"

"Yeah, I um, threw up on the plane." I said inhaling the cold air "but I'm better now."

"Owww...Good to hear you're better!" he said relieved "Skype me when you get to Kats, ok? I wanna see that little princess."

"Yeah, ok. Bye." I replied and sat into the cab to drive to the office.

Katherine's party was sweet. All the pink balloons, decorations and food was just amazing. But it's Katherine, everything she does, has to be perfect. I thought gazing over their living room.

"Anna, come meet Jennifer." Kat called me over, taking her newborn from the babybouncer.

I walked to her and took the baby and looked at her chubby face and hold her tiny fingers around my index finger. I sat down and took my phone to Skype Jai to share with him that precious moment.

"Hi Jai" I almost whispered "meet little Jennifer."

"Hi, Jenni." he called her by her soon-to-be nickname with a soft voice.

"Jai, she's so precious..." I admired Jenni  "...and she smells so good."

Jai had a huge grin on his face.

"Yo Kat! Come here, mamabear." he yelled out so Kat could hear him "Congrats for the both of you! Hey, man!" he greeted "Eric Good job, bro! She's so cute."

Jai clearly liked kids, and I knew that in the future this topic would be brought up. The way he was under some kind of spell when he talked to the baby and the way he admired Kat, said it all.

Suddenly I felt a wave of nausea rising from my stomach. I handed the baby back to Kat and said Jai that I'd be back in a sec and handed Kat my phone so they could chit-chat. Both Kat and Jai were confused but I didn't have the time to explain.

Stomach flu? Maybe? Too bad that I've already been near the baby. Wouldn't want her to get it. I thought washing my mouth.

When I stepped out out of the bathroom Kat had ended the call with Jai and was staring at me, like I had answers written on my face.

"I'm sorry, it must be stomach flu or something. I should've waited before coming here spreading my bug all over your baby." I apologized.

"Or something?" Kat looked me suspiciously "How long have you had this 'bug'?"

"Umm, well I felt weird 2 days ago + today I've thrown up twice." I did some math.

"Maybe you're pregnant." Kat suggested.

"Preg.. Pregnant? Kat, Don't be ridiculous, I'm on pills!" I chuckled cause it was insanely ridiculous.

"When does that ever stop them?" Kat had her argument ready.

"Kat, I love you and all and it's probably your preggo hormones talking but that doesn't mean that if you had your baby then suddenly all of us are pregnant and popping out babies. It doesn't pass on through air, you know." I spat out.

"Ouch" Kat said mocking me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." I apologized and sighed "I meant that not everyone would be thrilled to find out they're pregnant, especially after only knowing the guy...what is it? 9-10 months?"

"Anyway lets drop it." I continued bit more cheerfully "I think I'm gonna go now and maybe drop by from the pharmacy to get something for my upset stomach."

"Okay, I'll come by tomorrow morning to see if you're better. Oh and call Jai, he was kinda confused." Kat said hugging me.

I stood in line at the pharmacy, staring at the pregnancy tests on the shelf, feeling a knot in my throat. Hoping that these supplies will relieve my uncomfortable feeling.

When I got to the hotel I took a quick shower, put on Jai's T-shirt and crawled to bed to Skype Jai. He was worried but I reassured that the supplements were already working. I didn't lie, I felt better. I doze off hearing Jai telling me random things about his doings.

I woke up by the knocking sound on my hotel room door. I yawned and stood up to open the door.

"I brought caffeine." Kat's cheerful face greeted me along with the smell of the coffee.

"Thank god!" I grabbed my cup "What are you doing here this early?"

"Early? Where you sleeping?" she was confused and surprised "Anna, its 10.30."

"Shit! Really?" I yawned.

"Here, I also bought you this." she placed a box with pregnancy test on the table in front of me.

"I already said there's no way..." I couldn't finish my sentence when I had to rush to the toilet Kat following me.

"You're sure? Looks a lot like me on my first trimester." she asked. By then I was already crying, in panic.

She opened the test for me and left me deal with it.

After I've finished, I left it there and went to sit with Kat, biting my nails.

5 minutes later I sat on the floor of the bathroom, staring at the test, barely breathing.

Kat couldn't wait longer and came in.

"Anna? What does it say?" she asked but from what she saw she already knew that the result was positive.

She came to sit next to me and hugged me without saying anything.

I ran through all the possible cases which might have any meaning to why I was sitting there with a positive test on my hand. "How can this be possible, Kat? I have been always on point with taking my pills. Out of everybody it's me who never jokes about this stuff. And I end up pregnant! Jaisus Kat, I couldn't keep my fish alive I can't possibly get it right with a baby. A BABY, Kat!" I panicked, hyperventilating. That one time you did joke about it, you idiot! I cursed myself.

She just looked at me, feeling sorry for me.

"And Jai! Oh my god.. we haven't talked about such things. It's too soon! If I'm ever ready!" I admitted.

After a moment of thinking I made a decision "No one needs to know about it. I'll take care of it."

"But Jai needs to know, Anna." she cut me off but when I shook my head in denial she asked "Unless.. Anna, NO!"

I shook my head again.

"Anna, you can't do this to him. He has the right to know." Kat didn't let go.

"I've made up my mind." I said quietly.

"You're breaking his heart, Anna." Kat argued.

"Please leave." I said to her.

I stood up and took my phone, watching her leave. I called and got an appointment for the next day, so I had to change my flight. I also had to think what to say to Jai.
