People say that time flies when your having fun. Absolute bullshit. First off, time doesn't go faster or slower. No matter what you do it goes at a constant pace. And time doesn't 'fly' only when your having fun. It can 'fly' when your sad and crying on your bathroom floor or when your binge watching your favourite anime, so invested that you don't notice night turn into day. The truth is you think time moves faster because your too busy to look at a clock.
Not the case for (Y/n).
Time seemed to be going in slow motion, torturing her for two weeks straight. Nothing could keep her from thinking and longing for Hawks. She barely knew him but she really wanted to see him again. Little did she know, Hawks felt the same way. Even though he was on a mission and was supposed to be focusing on work he had (Y/n) on his mind for almost the whole time. Mostly because he missed her but also because he was incredibly worried about her safety. Ever since Dabi attacked her, Hawks has been on edge about (Y/n) and the thought of her getting hurt just so a group of villains can get back at him.
Luckily they had small moments together even when they were apart. Almost every time (Y/n) left work she would be greeted with a couple if ruby red feathers delivering a cup of coffee. It made her extremely happy and he felt better knowing she was okay. Unfortunately those moments would have to go on pause for a while as (Y/n) needs to use her holiday entitlement before her leave year ends. That meant she had a whole month of no work. Turns out she took barely any days off.
After a while (Y/n) felt more safe and went back to living in her own home, giving her way more privacy than when she stayed with her parents. Still she didn't feel completely comfortable and so she settled with inviting Akari over for a sleepover. Akari came along with her to her house after work. "Okay, you need to tell me everything about that boyfriend of yours." She said excitedly as they entered the house. "You're making way too big of a deal."
"No, you're making way too little of a deal! Let's get the face masks out, put on a stupid rom com and talk about your mystery guy." They did just that, (Y/n) getting the face masks and Akari picked a movie. They jumped onto the couch and turned on the tv. "Sooo, give me a name." Akari said excitedly as she nudged (Y/n) on the shoulder. "Can you keep a secret?" She asks. "Duh!"
