(Y/n) sat at the front desk lost in thought most likely thinking about Hawks. Their date yesterday went better than she could ever hope for. Yet here she sat contemplating whether she should text him or not.
"If you're so desperate, just text him." Akari said, taking a seat next to her. "I can't. I'll just seem desperate." She pouted and furrowed her eyebrows. (Y/n) felt like a love struck teenager, getting excited at just the thought of Hawks but right now isn't the time for that, she has work to do.
"Code blue third floor. Code blue third floor." She heard over the speakers. A code blue meant that somebody's flatlined and they need to hurry to get their heart beating again. Believe it or not, hospitals aren't always filled with good news.
Akari helped a couple of doctors by handing over medical files for some patients whist (Y/n) left the desk to go and do regular rounds before her shift ended. Most of her patients were stable and had nothing wrong with them apart from the reason why they're here. She pretty much just had to empty and refill fluid bags. A few patients had abnormalities but all she had do to is call a doctor to deal with it.
Once (Y/n)'s shift was complete she finally got out of her ugly and slightly uncomfortable scrubs and put on some normal people clothes, whatever the fuck that means. Afterwards she went to the desk to sign out but stopped as she felt someone's presence behind her.
A strong hand placed a coffee on the desk next to her. (Y/n) picked up the cup before swivelling around and two golden orbs met hers. "Hey." She said with a bright smile on her face. "Hey I got you coffee."
"Thanks." (Y/n) took a sip of her drink and smiled even brighter, realising that it's the same drink she had ordered yesterday and Hawks had remembered it. "Let's go somewhere." He blurted out, surprising her slightly. "What?"
"You're shift is over, I'm on break so let's go out." She nodded and followed him out the door, walking by his side. "So, where are we going?" He looked at her with a cheeky grin and shook his head. "I can't tell you it's a surprise."
