Chapter 6

~Ψ~

Saiki's pov:

I have finally reached a decision on what to say to her. when she approached me after school and invited me to the cafe I said that I'd meet her there, it's better if we don't have some awkward walk leading up to this. I teleported to the cafe bathrooms to get there quicker and I sat in our usual booth and waited.

about 15 minutes later she arrived and sat down across from me, I already knew what she was about to ask and I went over my response in my head.

"so um I actually brought you something" she says her cheeks turning a shade of pink

she pulls out her chocolates and slides them across the table.

"so um, I'm just gonna say it, I like you and I hope that you like me too."

"(l/n) I'm sorry but I don't have feelings for you, can't we just be friends"

'don't cry don't cry don't cry don't cry don't cry'

"o-oh I- uh yeah we can, uhm I think my moms calling me I'm sorry I have to go"

she gets up and leaves the chocolates on the table and rushes out the door, I feel kind of bad.

(y/n)'s pov:

I feel my face getting hotter my throat hurts from holding back tears, that hurt more than I thought it would. 

now here I am rushing down the sidewalk that was so embarrassing of course he wouldn't like me I'm so boring. 

I am overwhelmed by my thoughts suddenly I feel the warm tears escape from my eyes.

'great now I'm crying and people are starting to stare'

I end up running home thankfully no one else in my family is home yet so I don't have to tell them why I am crying. I just want to melt into my bed right now. 

I want to tell someone about what just happened but I don't know who, Kokomi hates me and Chiyo's well, Chiyo. Maybe I could call Kaido?

I reach over to my night stand and grab my phone to call Kaido.

ring

ring

*he picks up*

"(l/n)? what's up?"

"hey, *sniff* uh I just got rejected heh can you talk?"

"REJECTED!? COULD THIS BE THE WORK OF DARK REUNION!?"

"I wish.."

we ended up calling for a few hours, at least he cheered me up a bit. :,)

~the next day~

Saiki's pov:

(y/n) hasn't even looked at me since I rejected her, honestly I feel really bad about it. but maybe it's for the best, an all powerful physic like me would completely throw off her average life. I hope she can move on and find another.

besides that, we are supposed to get a new transfer student today so I have that to look forward too yare yare

(y/n)'s pov:

"class this is our new transfer student, please introduce yourself," the teacher says

A good looking purple haired boy with a middle part and glasses walks up to the board and writes 

"Aren was here"  before quickly erasing it and just writing out his name

"my name is Aren Kuboyaso" he bows very politely 

"you may go sit in the empty seat behind (y/n), (y/n) please raise your hand."

I raise my hand and as he nears I can see his face better.

'dayum he's hawt'

'I didn't mean to move on that fast' Saiki thinks

Kuboyaso's pov:

I've transfered to this new school to try and give the straight and narrow a chance. I used to be the leader of a powerful gang but I can't let these goodie goodies know that.

I walk over to the girl who is raising her hand for me to sit by her.

'wow she's cute'

I sit down in the desk behind her and pull out my textbook. she has really pretty (h/l) (h/c) hair and (e/c) that sparkle in the dull fluorescent lights of the school. 

'she's beautiful'

'yare yare it's literally only been a day since she ask me out theres no way she's already over me'

'the new guy is so handsome I should ask if he wants to join us for our usual ramen after school'

~after class~

(y/n)'s pov: 

class just ended so I turn around to face middle part and ask him a question.

"oh hell," i hear him mutter while blushing

'did he just say "oh hell"?'

I was about to ask him to go to ramen with us but it looks like Nendo beat me to it

'huh? who is this guy he looks like a thug I might have to beat him u- wait not goodie goodies don't just beat up random people.'  he thinks

"hey new guy wanna get some ramen with me and my friends?"

'what is this? it sounds like he's inviting me to a fight he must be the gang leader around here.'  he thinks

I walk over to Nendo, "is the new guy coming to get Ramen with us?"

'wait he's friends with her? alright then I guess I'll go'

"sure sounds fun!"

(a/n I'm sorry if you don't like Kuboyaso I promise you end up with Saiki in the end this is a Saiki x reader fanfic anyways I am just trying to deepen the drama (also Aren is my zaddy so don't come at me). also also I am writing this at 2 am because I cannot sleep and I have nothing better to do so yeah imma be dying during school tomorrow)
