Y/n took a deep breath in as she fixes her dress. "I have to go and greet the guests. Make sure you just enjoy the party okay?" Mrs. Kim reassured her daughter before going back towards the crowd of people.

Y/n takes a moment before making her way back towards the crowd. She recognizes a lot of people from the office but also some new faces.

She felt someone touch her shoulder so she turned around to face the person. "Can we talk now?" Chan said with a soft expression. All he wants is for Y/n to just focus on him. Not being able to talk to her for days felt like an eternity.

Chan grabs her hand, taking her silence as a yes, leading them both to a empty room.

Y/n held her head down, not sure what she would say or do when she looks at his face. "I'm sorry." Chan blurted. Y/n lifted her head so her eyes met his, unexpected for those words to come out of his mouth.

"Whether you believe me or not, I am sorry. Please Y/n, I can't bear to see you mad at me anymore. Can you please say something?"

Y/n paused. "I'm not mad at you. Its just that I don't understand. You knew how much this could affect me but yet you still let this kind of thing happen."

"Just- please, let me just explain." Chan said.

She nodded. "After the party."

"After the party." He repeatedly.

"There you are." Sujin said when she finds Y/n standing by the food table. "You disappeared for awhile I was starting to get worried. Is everything okay?"

"Everything's fine." The girl nodded her head. "Where's Haechan?" She asks, changing the subject.

"Sort of ditched him with some business people." Y/n gave Sujin a look. She raised her arms in defense, "Hey, I can't say anything mean to him if he's not around."

"By the way, I saw you come back with Chan. Did you guys talk? Did he say anything to you?" Sujin asks.

"We're actually going to talk after the party. I'm not sure if I want this party to end soon or to go on forever?" Y/n sighs.

"Well I say you just enjoy the moment and dance with me." Sujin smiles as she links her arms with Y/n, pulling them both in the middle of the dance floor.

Y/n snickers, "Why did I need to bring a date if I was just going to be with you all night?"

"I was just about to ask the same thing." Haechan said from behind the girls. They turned around to see his arms crossed and a look of deception on his face.

Sujin looks at the boy then at Y/n then back at the boy. She groans, "Fine. Haechan I give you permission to dance with her but just so you know, this, is just for tonight."

Haechan snickers, "And just so you know, I don't care." He playfully sticks his tongue out at Sujin before pulling Y/n away.

"What happened to being nice to each other for tonight?" Y/n wraps her arms around Haechan's neck as they sway to the music.

"She started it when she decided to ditch me with strangers. I may look like I know what I'm doing but I'm actually shy around strangers." He pouted.

Y/n chuckles, "Why are you guys always at each other's throats? I understand why Sujin acts like that but why do you go with it? You seem to like fighting back with her."

When the boy didn't say anything in defense, realization hits and she suddenly widened her eyes as she gasps, "Wait don't tell me you-"

"Please don't say anything." Haechan whined. "If she knows how I actually feel about her she might ignore me forever. I rather have her tease me then not talk to me."

She nods, "I get it. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."

"Really?" He exclaims as he excitedly pulls Y/n into a hug. "I didn't tell anyone this so thank you."

The two was enjoying their little hug when suddenly Y/n felt someone pull her away from the boy seeing that the person was pushing away Haechan at the same time.

"Chan what are you doing?" Y/n was genuinely confused. He widened his eyes as if he was accused of something. He scoffs, "What am I doing? What are you two doing?"

"We were just hugging and you don't have the right to be mad over something like this." Y/n said.

"Yeah man, it's not what you think." Haechan stepped in. Chan then looks at the boy, "And who are you?" He asks.

"Her date- ohh I see how you could think that." Haechan said. "Uh huh yeah now go away, we have something important to talk about." Chan tried to shoo the boy away when he steps in front of Y/n.

"We said after the party." Y/n mutters.

"How can I wait till after the party when you're here having your arms around this guy?" He muttered back.

"Um excuse me but we were just in the middle of something." Haechan said. Chan scoffs, rolling his eyes as he turns around to suddenly punch the boy in the face.

Everyone who just watched that happened gasped. "Oh my god Chan!" Y/n panicked. Without thinking she pulls onto the boy away from Haechan as she sees Sujin rushing towards them after she just saw what went down not far away.

"Come, let me get you some ice." Sujin frowns. Haechan went with the girl as he holds his now throbbing jaw.

Y/n notices that Chan just created a scene in the middle of her parent's party so she angrily grabbed his arm, leading them both outside of the building.

"What the hell was that?!" She yells. "You didn't have to punch the guy!"

"I didn't know what came over me, I swear. It was just the thought of you being with a guy that isn't me." Chan blurted.

"Well you better get used to it because Haechan's now my friend and- and nothing." She says.

"And what?" Chan furrowed his eyebrows.

Y/n exhaled a breath, "And tomorrow I'm hanging out with a guy from school. Just friends, it's not going to be a date, just so you know, before you go berserk."

Y/n sighs, "You know what, can you just take me home? I'm actually tired."

"But Y/n, we still have something to talk about." Chan sternly said. "Chan I'm giving you this chance, take me home or I'm walking away right now."

He sighs, "You can't walk from here."

"Oh yeah? Watch me." Y/n turned around as she starts to walk away from the boy. She knew she won't be able to handle walking another minute in her heels but she was just so heated in the moment she didn't care about the pain.

"Wait Y/n." Chan called out. "Just wait there, I'll come around with my car." She does what he says and stands patiently on the sidewalk.

Y/n sees Chan coming up in his car as he gets out and opened the passenger seat for her. "You know I would've actually walked right?" She says.

Chan lightly snickered as he helped the girl into the car, "Sure you would."
