Promise

"What are you hens arguing about now?" I asked when I walked back onto the salon floor. Tiffany and Telly were going back and forth as usual. There two are something else.

"This hooker," Telly pointed to her. "

"Ya mammy bitch," She sneered.

"That was rude, but anyway. Like I was saying this hooker said some bull about my hair."

"All I said was the back was uneven,"

"Your titties uneven,"

"Hey hey hey," I stopped them. "The language, there are kids in here."

"My bad, but he gets on my nerves." Tiffany said.

"You two argue like you're married."

"She wishes,"

"Telly, stop it." I sat in my chair answering Major's text message.

"Who are you texting? Your boo Major huh?" Telly asked me.

"None of your business," I giggled.

"Don't be stingy with the information now; we already know it's him. We can tell from that big ass smile on your face." I shook my head waving him off.

He was right though, it's been the same reaction for the past three weeks. Every time Major's name comes up I can't help but smile. It's weird; I've never liked a guy this much. He just ugh...he's everything. "Leave me alone."

"I'm just asking." He laughed. "Is he coming to get you?"

"No, I'm about to go talk to parents." I rolled my eyes.

"Why are you taking a trip to hell? You know you end up leaving upset every time you go over there."

"I just need to, I'll alright. I don't have any more clients but I will be back around closing time."

"Yeah right as soon as you leave those demons you call parents you're going to get some sexual healing. I'm pretty sure Major's ass is about to have you riding something later." He teased.

"You make me sick," I laughed walking back to my office. I grabbed my purse and put my Chanel sunglasses over my eyes before leaving the salon.

The whole drive to my house I was trying to think of how this was going to go. Major didn't even want me to go over there just because he feels like nothing is going to come from it. He said if I come home crying it was going to be a problem and nobody needed that right now so I had to make sure I didn't let them get to me.

I just wanted this to go right, I didn't want to argue with them. I didn't want to disrespect them either, hell I didn't want to be disrespected my damn self. Even if they do upset me I'll feel better by the end of the night so I'm not that worried.

As I was pulling up to a red light the sound of my phone ringing brought me out of my thoughts. Reaching up on my dashboard I answered it and put it on speaker. "Hello?"

"Are you still going to your parent's house?" Major asked.

"Yeah, I'm on my way now."

"Promise you know you don't have to go over there right?"

"I do but I just need to get this over with. I'll have to say something to them at some point. Stop worrying about me I got it." I pulled off when the light turned green.
