There he is and here I am. I’ve dreamt of this night just laying here with, Him. I wish we could lie here forever my hand in his palm, his in mine. His hair brushing up against my cheek, our legs intertwined. His breath is slow and hard. I look over to see his eyes closed and smiling.

“I know you are looking at me,” he smiles wider.

“Yes, because I can’t stop,” I reply with a laugh.

“Are you kidding? I can’t stop looking at that gorgeous face.”

“Nor yours.”

With that we lie back down. I move closer to him and fall asleep with his hand in mine and our legs intertwined.

“Hey, hey, wake up,” a soft husky voice says to me while he gently shakes my shoulder.

“Hum yes?” I ask with a groggy voice, scratchy throat, and My eyes glued shut with nasty gross boogers.

“We have to go its past 8 in the morning.”

“Ugh, fine,” I say while getting up.

We gather our blanket and starbucks then head over to Ryder’s Jeep. Once I’m in the front passenger seat, I watch out the window. Ryder turns on the radio to One Direction, my favorite band, but sadly they broke up years ago. Fool’s Gold is playing and I start singing along. Ryder looks over at me with a big goofy grin which tells me he’s up to something.

I look in the where a CD should be playing expecting it to be empty, but it wasn’t! That sly dog! He made a CD of all my favorite songs. I look through CD’s case where he has a written, in his hand writing,  list with over 100 songs. It includes all One Direction albums, deluxe version, Taylor Swifts album 1989 deluxe version, Ed Sheeran’s albums deluxe versions, Jack and Jack’s songs, Shawn Mendes, and way more. I squeel stupidly and causes Ryder to laugh and look over at me.

“I’m guessing you like it?” He asks with a satisfied grin.

“Of course! This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me,” I say.

“No the nicest thing was letting you be born.”

“Ha sure.”

“Admit it, you know I’m right.”

“Hum, I don’t think so.”

“Yes, admit it,” he says loudly.

“Never!” I refuse.

“But then we would never have this, us,” he says in such a little kids voice I want to bust up laughing.

“Ok, ok, fair point,” I giggle.

“Told you I was right,” he smirks.

“Whatever,” I say angrily.

We go quiet again. I look out the window at the rolling hills. It just occurs to me that I still have a family and that I should check on them. I pull my phone out to see 2 missed calls from Mason and Nate. I reply to Amelia’s text saying I’m on my way back and don’t worry, that I was just stressed. I look out the window again but Ryder rolls down the window. The wind blows my hair all over the place. It takes me about 3 minutes to fix the beast into a presentable ponytail.

Ryder starts singing along to “Best Song Ever” by One Direction. His voice is pretty bad, he sounds like a dead cow. I laugh until I can’t breath. When I regain my breath and can control my breathing I join in the song with him. We stay like this for a while us singing and wind blowing through our hair.
