I walked into the store after seeing the help wanted sign. Here I was in a new town three hours away from my old one. I was ready to start a new life rightly not by running away.

I already ran away from so much in my past that the least I could do is settle down and begin anew. which is exactly what I've been doing.

I have only been living in Lakepoint for 3 days and already got an apartment and a job being a waitress at a diner. The diner was an only lunch and dinner place and I only worked there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I needed money so I went for the first place that I saw needed help. They payed well but I needed more since I came here broke and owned an apartment.

Now the apartment wasn't the best, but it served well. So, while I was or shopping for clothes, only coming here in the ones I wore and a few muddy ones that I later threw away, and food, leading me up to this store with a help wanted sign. The store was called Leah's boutique and was a small cute shop with clothes, hats, purses, and other accessories. The girl at the desk has light brown hair down to her waist and a little eye makeup. She was stunningly pretty and wore a skater skirt with a blouse and flats.

"Hi, I'm Jasmine and I saw the help wanted sign. I was wondering if I could employ here," I said politely getting her attention away from the computer at which she worked.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't hear you but sure, come with me and I'll get you the forms you need," she smiled brightly getting up then added, "and I'll inform Leah about you so she'll come around tomorrow for an interview."

"Sounds great!" I said as she handed me my form.

"Everything we need and you need to know, is all in here," she handed over a pretty thick stapled packet.

"Sounds good thanks!"

"No problem looking forward to working with you! And I'm Britney."

"Cool Britney hopefully I'll get the spot."

"Oh don't worry about that no one has come for this job in months. Leah will be glad to have you."

"Oh how come?"

"Well, I'm not quite sure."

"Oh we'll see you tomorrow!"

"Be here at four," she called with one last smile before I went out the door.

The sun was shining while I walked to my apartment. It was Sunday meaning tomorrow I had the whole day off to my benefit plus Monday. I looked down at the bags I was holding. After arriving here Friday, my first shift at the diner, which I found Friday, was Saturday. I loved working there and with the other staff, only after knowing the place for 5 hours.

In one of my bags I had a small carton of milk, a six pack of water, sandwich stuff, and a few other bathroom products. My other had a v-neck tee-shirt, jeans, and two shorts. I needed new shoes but couldn't afford any yet, so I decided to save up. I had enough food for a few lunches, all I needed since we could snack at the diner. Occasionally the staff went out together and got dinner together, that was usually at like 9 after the diner closed at 8:30. From what Stacy, the waitress who showed me around, said.

She was very nice and helpful with bright green hair cut to her neck. She had a lip piercing, tattoos, and several earrings on one ear. She was kind of scary looking but I enjoyed her company during training.

I opened my apartment door with my key then stuffed the food in their right places. My bathroom products I put in the only one in my apartment. It had a kitchen with a small living room then adherent was a bedroom and bathroom. It wasn't much, like I said before, but it was good for now.
