AMANDA

The afternoon Californian sun had begun to set, turning the sky into soft shades of blues, pinks, and purples, with streaks of oranges and yellows detailing the sky. The beach was fairly empty, only a few people walked along the shoreline, basking in each other presence. Amongst these people sat a certain female phantom. Her knees pulled up to her chest, as she fought back the small sobs that threatened to spill. This was one of the times that being invisible really worked in her favor. The one thing that she was scared of losing was now gone. Family. There's no way that the guys would ever forgive her for lying about something that huge, she wouldn't. Though it wasn't them being mad it her that hurt Amanda, it was the expression on each of their faces that destroyed, especially since she knew she was the cause.

"Amanda?" A voice called out. Lifting her head and looking back, she saw Reggie walking towards her.

"R-Reggie!" Amanda stuttered, feverishly wiping away the tears that stained her cheeks.

"Can I sit here with you?" Reggie asked, looking down at the girl.

"Go ahead, no one's stopping you," she replies, running a hand through her disheveled hair. Taking one look at the girl, his heart broke. Amanda was never one to cry, especially not when she was younger. To see her this distraught was such a foreign sight. Her cheeks were red, eyes puffy, and her nose was a light pink.

"I thought that you were mad at me," the blonde soft spoke, her eyes trained to the ground.

"I was upset to hear that you planned on leaving, but I'm not mad. Neither are Luke or Alex," he admitted. That was the truth. Sure, Reggie might've been upset that Amanda planned on leaving the group. But he knew that she had a good reason on why she was leaving, it wouldn't be for nothing. There was part of him that might've believed that he's the reason for her leave.

"Trust me, they both hate me," she sniffed, her eyes watering again. Moving from his spot, he squatted down in front of her, placing a comforting hand on her knee.

"They love you, Mandy. Families love each other and sometimes they have problems. Just because we're having problems doesn't mean we hate each other. Family is all about the good and the bad and everything in between," Reggie explained, giving her knee a light squeeze.

"I never meant to hurt anyone, it's just that things were getting worse at home, especially with Alex gone. I needed to get out of there, fast," Amanda sighs.

"I get where you're coming from. Kinda lived it" he chortled. Looking up at the bassist, Amanda couldn't help but feel guilty. Here she was, being completely selfish and thinking she had it bad when in reality, There were others who had it worse.

"I'm so sorry, Reg," she apologized.

"You have nothing to apologize for," Reggie says, a confused look on his face.

"Yes, I do. Here I was, being utterly selfish when things were way worse for you at home," Amanda clarified.

"Like Luke said, we all had it rough at home. Just give them time and they'll come around," he concludes.

"Plus, a beautiful girl like you shouldn't cry over guys, they're stupid," the bassist smiled, taking his free hand and using it to brush back the strands of hair that fell over the blonde's eyes.

"Reggie, you're a guy," she mentioned.

"My point exactly," Reggie shrugs, earning a small giggle from the female. His heart skipped a beat seeing that smile that could always make his day.  Standing up, he offered the girls hand, which she grateful took. Pulling her up, he saw that she was in a much better state than when he found her. Before the Peters boy could leave, he felt himself stumble back slightly. Looking down, his face redden at the sight of Amanda hugging him. His heartbeat quicken as she held on to him, almost as if she was afraid that he'd disappear if she let go. Recuperating the hug, his smile widen upon feeling her hold him tighter. A few seconds later she let go of him, shyly looking off to the side.

"Thanks, for always being there for me," Amanda muttered, a light blush on her face.

"Always," He grinned.
