"Brother, I don't think it's a good idea going to meet the prince of Ederdale" my sister shared her concern,
"I have to know why his guards were there in the forest that night" I jumped up on my horse and balance my weight on top, "Don't you think it's strange that Catrinas night gown was found right with the dead body of the Ederdales guards" I continued and looked down from my horse into Graces worried eyes,
"Why are you risking your life, brother, that woman is most likely dead, any encounters with the Ederdales guards is sure to be fatal, she probably met her fate that night, if the guards didn't kill her then the wild animal for sure did" she says, trying to stop me from going on this journey to truth,
"No" I looked away, "my heart refuses to believe she's dead, I will only believe she's dead when I get to see her dead body with my own two eyes" I confessed, my guards jumped up on their horses as well and were ready to leave, she sighed giving up on trying to stop me,
"Take care, brother" she says as we ride off on our horses. The Ederdale castle is a long journey it would take us days to reach its castle, but since the prince had decided to meet us more then half way, it would only take us a couple of hours, my mind kept on calming my rapid heart through out the away,
Finally seeing a tent in a clearing with the Ederdale flag and guards, my guards announced my presence and i jumped off my horse, just in time to see the prince come out the tent;draped in a black cloak with fur on his neck and the top of his boots , he extended his hand to shake main,
"I hope the journey wasn't too bad" Bryce asked while shaking my hand firmly,
"We had a fine journey, I appreciate you asking, but let's not divert from the topic as to why we're here" I say going straight to the topic, not wasting a single second,
"Of course" he agrees and gestures for me to go inside the tent, inside was pretty empty except for two chairs that were placed in the middle for us to sit on and all the guards inside were instructed to go out,
So far nothing about him seemed threatening,
"What's the matter you wanted to talk about so urgently" he asked sitting down in his chair, I take a deep breath, "The body of your guards were found on my castle grounds, without my knowledge, but that's not as important" I start of,
Bryce leaned forward and listened carefully,
"The day your guards trust passed on my grounds, a girl ran away from my castle in the middle of the night, in the morning her nightgown was discovered next to the dead guards.....now I have two questions;What were your guards doing on my grounds?, and what happened to the girl?" I continued, Bryce looked down and nodded, his face looking slightly upset,
"The girl your talking about, do you know who she is?" He asked with a sad tone to his voice, and a pained expression,
"No, I found her in the forest behind your castle when we were on our way back with refugees from Avaland, she had jumped off a waterfall , if it wasn't for me diving in to save her, she would've been dead" I explained the story to him,
