~ Ace ~

I pushed my way through the hospital doors, making a beeline for the front desk.

"Ace wait up!" I here Jerome yell behind me.

I ignored him and kept moving forward, stopping right in front of this petite Asian women.

"Storm Smith." I said forcefully with a deep scowl gracing my face.

The women jumped slightly then looked up at me with a frightened expression. "I u-um ok." Her voice quivered.

I don't mean to be loud and demanding but I was on edge and on a mission to make sure Storm was alright. I was beyond worried about her and Yaz didn't give me any details about what happened, so I don't know what to expect, all I know is that I was scared shitless.

Yes, Storm and I just got together but I'm not ready to lose her. It's been a long time since I've been in a relationship with someone and now that I am I'm finally happy so I'm hoping to god everything is ok.

"May I ask what are your relations to Ms. Smith?" The women asked while clicking away on her computer

"Her man." I deadpan.

She looked up at me again then back down at her computer.

"Sir u-um as of right now we are only allowing fami-"

"What room is she in?" I growled.

I felt Jerome come up next to me and grip my arm. I snatched it away from him all while staring the lady down, waiting for a response.

"Again sir, I can't-

"Listen, I don't care about all of that, I'm her family and I'm asking you to tell me what room she in."

I was starting to get pissed the fuck off. I hated that she wouldn't tell me where the fuck Princess was, all because of some dumb ass policy.

We stare each other down then finally she sighed and looked back down at her screen.

"She's in room, 305."

I quickly made my way to the elevator with Jerome trailing behind me.

"Damn man you ain't have to scare her like that." He said.

"She wasn't giving me what I needed." I muttered lowly as I rapidly press the arrow on the elevator.

Finally, after what seems like forever the elevator doors opened, revealing a handful of people piled in there, standing shoulder to shoulder.

I groaned and turned toward the stairs and made my way up to the third floor.

When I got to the third floor, I push through the door and looked up at the sign to find what direction room 305 was in.

Behind me Jerome was huffing and puffing obnoxiously. I turned around to see him bent over with his hands on his knees.

"Damn man you know I'm outta shape." He gasped.

I rolled my eyes and turned back around. I know Jerome doesn't do well in emotional situations so he always try to make light of it by cracking jokes and shit. Usually I'm right behind him, entertaining his jokes so that he knows I'm there for him but right now I couldn't.

Letting out a deep sigh, I make a left towards princesses room. As I got closer, I noticed one of princesses friends standing outside the room, pacing back and forth while on the phone, which was worsening my worry.

Without a second thought I reached for the door handle and busted into the room. My eyes automatically landed on princesses tear filled brown eyes.
