~ Storm ~

I handed Jerome a full plate of shrimp scampi with cheesy garlic bread and a bottle of water.

"Damn Storm! I didn't know you knew how to throw down in the kitchen like this." He said stuffing his face.

"please don't hype it up, it's not that's good." I said, smirking.

"Girl shut up! This shit is good as hell. I haven't had food this good in a while. I hope you made enough for seconds." He chuckled.

"I made A LOT. Enough for you and Shawn to eat for the rest of today and tomorrow."

"You know...I'm still shocked he told you his real name. For the longest I was the only person that knew it and eventually he told ma and pops but he didn't really want to because he hated that name and he didn't want to start his new life with the name that his crazy ass parent use to call him."

"He didn't tell me that." I whispered.

"Yeah I didn't think he would but it's a surprise he even told you."

"Well he didn't really tell me, I found out." I said.

"How?" He frowned.

"Mrs. Jenkins...the owner of mama Jenkins. He took me there and when she seen him she called him Shawn and that's how I found out." I said.

"Ahh that crazy old lady." He said chuckling.

"Yeah her." I laughed.

We both looked down the hall when the sound of footsteps was heard coming from Shawn's room.

Dr. Gabriel walked out, holding his bag in one hand  and what look to be a pill bottle in the other hand.

"Alright guy, he's all patched up. I gave him some pain meds for his broken ribs but you need to make sure that he doesn't do to much. Make sure he is icing the area about 2-3 times a day, they should heal right up in about 6 weeks. Now with his stitches, the bandage needs to be changed twice a day. Clean around the wound with this solution and warm water then apply a good amount of this ointment on the wound then replace it with a new bandage. Make sure he drinks a lot of water and that he walks around a bit and That's all." He said smiling, while placing the meds, the ointment and solution on the table.

"Thanks doc, I really appreciate you coming out and helping." Jerome said.

"My pleasure, it's always nice working with you guys. Also nice to meet you Storm." He smiled at me.

"Nice to meet you too." I waved and watched as Jerome walked him to the door.

I fill another plate with some food and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge then made my way towards Shawn's room.

I slowly pushed open the door and walked in. Closing it behind me, I walked over to the bed and placed the plate down on the bedside table.

Shawn was still laying on his back with his eyes closed and his hand resting on his chest.  He looks so much skinnier than before. His hair and beard was long as hell and he had dark circles under his eyes.

I reached my hand up and touched his face, making him flinch. His eyes snapped open and he looked around for a bit before his eyes landed on me.

His eyes immediately soften the moment they landed on my face, making me smile.

"I brought you some food." I said, showing him the plate.

He quickly looked over at it then back to me. "Hi Princess." He said.
